I had a family gathering here for my birthday last year. Very friendly staff and atmosphere. I love the Tex Mex style food. I always get the ribs, they are the best!

Came early to try and beat the dinner crowd. The place was already packed. Asked the server for the best thing one the menu. Was brought the 3 pepper steak. If I wasn't too full I'd ordered another to eat. It was that delicious. Not one complaint.

Recently met done people here for lunch on a Wednesdsy and we knew to arrive early because they fill up quickly. We were seated promptly ( arrived at 11:15) and service was fast and continued to refill tea glasses over and over ( always a plus in my book)! Food came quickly as we all had ordered from lunch menu.... More

This is the best place to get casual Tex-Mex food around! Everything I had a taste of was amazing... Chips, salsa, beans, fajitas, poblano nachos, and queso!! And, I had the best strawberry margarita here too! Love this place. FYI: Reservations and call aheads are NOT accepted. Go during off peak times or be prepared to wait!

this is the ORIGINAL location. The best one at that. The parents own this location, and the service, and way they treat their staff is obvious. The head cook deserves the corvette he drives. My wife can make the same recipe for dip and chicken and it's now our ONLY way to do fajitas. When we don't cook, we just... More

A must visit in Houston is Lupe Tortillas, little bit of a wait but always worth it. Try a frozen margarita, followed up by the house specialty fajitas! Highly recommended.

People flock here for lunch. I think they bill themselves as winning some special Houston award. I say "meh". Standard Tex-Mex place with salty food, plates that hit the table with a bang as the staff tries to turn the lunch tables, and shoulder to shoulder tables.

This is the original Lupe Tortilla location, and it looks it. The interior is seriously in need of an update, the parking is difficult and there is very little handicapped parking available. The food here used to be some of the best Tex-Mex in Houston (which is saying a lot!), but after dining there last night, I think they are... More

Went to lunch at the recommendation of my granddaughter and her boy friend. They were right on with the food being real Tex-Mex and delicious. I'm a stickler for service. Here I could not find anything to speak about and the place was packed for lunch. We'll now keep this place on our radar screen for lunch and dinner.

We had past by the Lupe Tortilla many times and noticed how busy it always is, so we decided to stop. It was well worth it. The food was good and the service was great. We loved the decor of the restaurant and the atmosphere of the place. It was a good experience and I know we will be back.
