Oysters a little mushy but good flavor. A pit pricy at 10 bucks for seven on a sandwich. Fries were fresh and hot. New Orleans is better.
...this is where I come. Too many well known restaurants fry oysters until they have the texture of RUBBER but not Ragin' Cajun! They do it right! It's a close to Lafayette & Acadiana as you can ever hope to have in Houston!
We were hoping for some really good Cajun and seafood. The atmosphere was Texas barroom and the food was ordered at the counter. Okay. This is _not_ a suit and tie place. They serve traditional Louisiana dinners, and fresh crawfish in season. The portions a huge. The two of us could not finish the half bucket ( and we are not picky eaters ). The staff is fun and very cordial, great atmosphere at a very reasonable price. Ah, good beer too.
Love their gumbos. One of my favorite items is the Shrimp Arcadia. Spicy and good. Very casual and includes outdoor dining area. Little more expensive then I would like at lunch, but it is seafood. Great customer rewards and e-mail offers.
I am giving this place an overall of 4 stars due to hubby's love for their cajun food. I myself would give it a solid 3 stars. as a pregnant woman (all food is good to me) I couldn't even stomach the slop I was given. I ordered the mixed seafood of fried catfish and shrimp sides of onion rings and dirty rice; crawfish balls to start with. Let me describe your restaurants idea of fried catfish, 4 oz of bone in fish that was at some... More
Me and my hubby were looking for a place to eat on the way back home and found this place. We could've gone to Landry's, but I just wasn't in the mood. I am glad we stopped here because the food was great. The whole atmosphere of this place was awesome. I can imagine what its like when its packed... More
