Great Casual Louisiana Atmosphere with Good Po-Boys,etc.

We ( 6 Visitors and myself ) wanted to watch the Saints play the game at the last minute since it was not televised in Houston and luckily Rajin Cajun was carrying the telecast. It was great and the food was great also. Oyster Po boy was really good as well as the red beans and rice and the... read more

It's crawfish season and no one spices em better than Ragin' Cajun. These boys are from Lafayette, Louisiana, take delivery daily straight from the Louisiana swamps daily and boil tails, taters and corn on the cob, 50 lbs at a time. You want to order a pitcher of your favorite local microbrew to wash em down. We started with a... More

I was at the Ragin' Cajun with a group, and ordered a half bucket of crawdads and some shrimp. After being away for 5+ years, the mudbugs and shrimp were as good as I remember!! One big hint!! Roll up your sleeves!! I love the Ragin' Cajun for the place that it is - somewhere to get a beer, some... More

I dined on oysters and hurricanes. The oysters were very good ($10/dozen) but the hurricanes were average at best. The Happy Hour discount was nothing special as well. I would not go back for it.

The teenage kids like it because they are not paying the grossly overpriced bill. RC has successfully priced itself out of the market. After all, it is not Joyce's or Pappadeaux. At Christmas they usually have a gift card special to partially offset the pending 25% price increases. The food is marginal at best, and no better than awful BB's... More

The atmosphere is loud, crazy fun and the crawfish is fabulous. We took our cousins from San Diego for their first crawfish cajun style and they loved it! Our waitress was kind enough to bring the bibs to the table because you are going to get some on you :)

Love the cajun food served here, especially the gumbo and crawfish. Would always stop by whenever I am in town or nearby.

Our favorites are the fried oysters and the gumbo. Both were served hot and delicious as always. We also had the crabcakes which are rich with the good stuff. Service at the counter is friendly, quick and easy. Order was ready in a few minutes.

Oysters a little mushy but good flavor. A pit pricy at 10 bucks for seven on a sandwich. Fries were fresh and hot. New Orleans is better.

...this is where I come. Too many well known restaurants fry oysters until they have the texture of RUBBER but not Ragin' Cajun! They do it right! It's a close to Lafayette & Acadiana as you can ever hope to have in Houston!
