Delightful Lunch

Fish is in the constantly changing midtown. Stopped in yesterday, party of 5, for lunch. Several of us ordered bento boxes, several of us ordered expensive items. Everything was exquisite. The interior had been recently redone and service was attentive. The restaurant was busy, for not beyond what the staff could easily handle. I can easily recommend Fish, and will... More

Look like they are history, suddenly overnight a sign "closed for maintenance" and windows blacked out, either broke, lost lease or lost liquor license I imagine, you don't just close you let your customers know weeks in advance if you are doing remodeling and what type of maintenance takes a week???

I really enjoy eating at The Fish, despite its location. The parking is a hassle, and the traffic there for an early dinner can be ugly, but it's midtown, and you know what you are getting in to when you go there. The restaurant is attractive, and even when busy does not seem to be particularly loud. We've always found... More

I went there with my gf for a nice diner. The place was packed so as the noise level. If there are big groups you have to raise your voice as the tables are quite close together. I didn't like that. Besides that the sushi was AWSOME and the pricing was very fair. I will come back but maybe during... More

Is The Fish the best sushi restaurant in Houston, maybe, if not, it should be in the top 5. My wife and I went for the first time on Friday evening (October 11, 2013), and every part of the experience was excellent, from the time we entered until we left. Our server's name was Grace, and she was exceptional at... More

I've been to this place many times, easily one of the best sushi restaurant in town! The special rolls are all heavenly delicious, they even offer happy hour all Sunday with great prices! Parking could be a problem though if you do not mind parking a little further in the alleys for free.

Took a customer here for lunch. We ordered some bento boxes and some extra rolls. Wanted to try the sea urchin, but they were out. The server Stefani recommended Blue Fin Tuna as a choice. It was AWESOME!. This sushi had a light sweet taste, and it literally melted in my mouth. My customer said the same thing. Definitely try... More

Dropped in for a quick lunch and ended up getting the lunch set which had rice, soup, beef, salad and some vegetable tempura Taste was ok and service was timely. It is quite decent, nothing to go crazy about, but definitely a decent restaurant.

When we go to Houston we always try to go to The Fish to eat. I'm very picky when it comes to sushi. I don't want anything raw and I don't want anything cold. This tends to pose a problem for me in sushi restaurants. Each restaurant has different names and ingredients in their rolls. It's not like ordering a... More

My husband and I enjoy coming here after church on Sunday for lunch to get happy hour. The prices on sushi are very cheap and are delicious!
