This is a great find!

We stumbled on Cafe Piquet and it seems to be a very authentic Cuban restaurant. My wife thought the Ropa Vieja was the best she'd ever had. If you get Rogerous (sp?) as your waiter you will have the cheeriest waiter anywhere! The flan for dessert is a must.

Service and quality of food was delicious and I would go again. I don't know why I have to add more characters to submit this rating.

First time here at the Cafe Piquet with my family. I have to said that it was a very good choice. The food was very good it was better than what we expect. Our server Rick was very nice and helpful he was able explain all the dishes. We will definitely be back here. Thank you for the great service.

We were looking for someplace different for dinner on a Saturday evening and my husband found Café Piquet. This place is perfect! The atmosphere is nice and the food and service were excellent! We shared the small Cuban appetizer sampler and the Carnaval Cubano Entrée sampler. Both were very good and we were able to try several different items. We... More

My wife is Cuban, so we understand Cuban food well. Le Piquet is first class, genuine 'home-style' Cuban cooking. My wife had the masitas, and I the Ropa Vieja, following an excellent appetizer plate. There are some decent wines at a good price, and the value for money is good. Portions are perhaps a bit big, and very heavy on... More

We have been living within two miles of this restaurant for over ten years now, but only found it when we started looking for a decent Cuban restaurant in Houston. We decided to go there to celebrate a wedding anniversary with some friends. We arrived at 6.30pm to have a choice of tables. They were very accommodating. The service was... More

Used to love this place but last Sunday will be my last visit, ordered La Rumba. The shreeded beef and the picadillo were overly salty, the tostones tasted like they had set out for hours. Absolutely horrible service. Waitress actually told me they were out of tea when I requested a refill. I will be searching for a new Cuban... More

This is one of my go-to favorites for Latin cuisine. I was introduced to Café Piquet more than 7 years ago and since then they have expanded into a larger building. The décor is warm, inviting, yet unpretentious. The service is good; I think all the servers are bilingual (English/Spanish). Many of them have been there since I started going... More

Our large party booked a table on an early Saturday night - the place was filling up fast. We had 2 servers for our table and they kept mixing up the orders. The food was delicious. The calamari was fresh, crisp and delicious. We shared the appetizer plate with empanadas, ham croquets, plantain chips and papas rellenas - potato stuffed... More

My family celebrated a birthday dinner here - a Saturday night. It had been years since my last visit (my brother-in-law's birthday choice-he is Cuban; he & his wide visit often). Our party of 14 had reservations & were seated quickly in the middle of the restaurant. The place was very busy & noisy. The service was almost non-existent- many... More
