The portions are varied and large, but the prices are a bit steep. $54 for dinner for two. We had a crab casserole (bland), spinach casserole, squash casserole (both delicious), and deviled eggs for one diner. A catfish filet, green beans, potatoes and a fruit salad for the other diner - all tasty. Two glasses of iced tea and two... More

Great Southern comfort food, always large beautiful delicious portions. Farmer's market fresh. Unusual: Cash only, no credit cards accepted, closed on Saturday. Be prepared: Service at the registrar is unfriendly, robotic, and rushed.

My husband and I visited for dinner on a Sunday. They are closed on Saturdays or else we would have gone then. An out of town guest had asked us about this place and we thought we should check it out as we live so close. The portions were a nice size. All items are sold separately. There are no... More

Fresh delicious home style food. Outstanding flavor and large portions. Cleburne will cost more than your run of the mill home style cafeteria but it is well worth it. They take cash only and no ATM on the site some come prepared.

When ordering food to go if you have ever been you could be waiting in a line and not even need to. Service at the register is not very friendly and you may feel rushed. They charge you for all of your containers, utencils, sauces, etc. Your receipt does not show you what you are charged for. Portions seem to... More

Cleburne Cafeteria was recommended by some friends and we were surprised how right they were. The food was excellent and we have been back several times. The portions are so large that a takeout container is a must unless you can share with someone else. We buy an entree (meat), a potato, a salad and a desert and the total... More

We went to Cleburne on Christmas Day. I was surprised by the crowd in some ways but the organization was top notch in regard to service. The food was delicious with giant portions. The Christmas meal was a memorable family moment.

Amazing food, great taste, good service. Wide selection of food. Love the kale salad..........I could eat here every day. Watch out for the elderly people for their early bird dinner.

Well the Cleburne is the place! Family owned, fresh farm to table food. Not familiar with a cafeteria or only been to that so-so franchise one? This is like a gorgeous buffet with presentation lifting it above a sit down restaurant. Get a tray and get in line. Salads are up first. At least 10 different kinds including fresh fruit... More

My Houstonian friend suggested, who happened to be in town, suggested we try this restaurant. Being new to Houston, she said that this was an institution and a 'must try'....she was not wrong. From the moment you walk in, it's fantastic! No fancy seating, reservations, etc. Just DELICIOUS food, in a cafeteria setting. A little bit like dim sum, you... More
