Old fashioned, good quality, tasty food

Best cafeteria in Houston. Everything is fresh, made from scratch. Large portions. Good service. Expensive, but worth it.

A great cafeteria good food and big portions. Not on the beaten path but well worth the find. Expect long lines on Sunday noon time. A little pricey but no complaints as food was well Presented. Parking during rush times does have limited spaces. Come early and beat the crowd.

This resturant is AWESOME . FRESH FOOD DAILY. Large portions served. The desserts are large enough for two people to eat. Very tasty. Only one problem - not open on Saturdays.

We went on a Monday evening and was impressed with the food choices. It was not crowded but the food was still served at a perfect temperature. The salads are refreshing and big enough to share. I had the baked fish and enjoyed the wide variety of veggie options. The deserts are big enough for the entire group! Service was... More

This us THE BEST cafeteria in the world!!! All homemade food. Very generous servings. Charming staff. I could eat here every day - many houstonians DO eat here every day. The Matriarch of the cafeteria dines at a table, where a portrait hangs above. It was hand painted by her late husband. Neat, neat family story - be sure to... More

Well, we live in the area and every time we passed this restaurant, it's always seem to be full of diners so we decided to give it a try. It was Saturday and the line was long. We queued for about 20 min. From distance the food look so inviting, so the kids, my spouse and I were pretty much... More

My wife and I stopped by today (6/19/15) for Seafood Friday, the food was at very best 3-star, and the cashier was very rude. This is the second time in the last month or so. The last time was for chicken & dumplings, and it was good but very watered down.

Fun Fresh traditional Cafteria food with large portions. Cash only. Long line at 1:45PM on a Sunday with lots of church goers but it moved right a long. Diverse crowd representing the diverse city that is Houston. Baked Chicken was good. saw roast beef , chicken-fried steak, pork chops, three kinds of fish, turkey and many other items. A bit... We eat at Cleburne's at least once a week, and the food is always fresh and tasty. Indeed, as other viewers have stated, this place is an upscale Luby's in terms of food quality and variety. The owner is always there and checks on tables and says hello to everyone. He comes up with a lot of the recipes himself... More

Cleburne cafeteria is a Houston classic established in 1941. Since 1952 is is run by the Mickelis family of Greek immigrants. Relocated to the Northern part of the West University area in 1969, it is well located and accessible from all areas within the 610 loop. Cafeterias have come and gone in Houston (Luby's and others), but Cleburne has always... More
