Cozy place, soft environment, generous portions of tasty food for an affordable price. That's really describes Cleburne Cafeteria. The best thing is the fact it is beside my house. I loved it and will be back several times.

This cafeteria serves very generous portions. Their food represents home cooking so well, I plan to order my holiday meals from them. Hubby and I do not eat breakfast the day after b/c we're still full! We visit often and enjoy making our choices and being able to dine immediately! Once you start patronizing there, it's hard to remember their... More

The seafood dishes? Incredible. The salads? Great. The sides? Fresh. The desserts? Gigantic. Whenever I am back from San Diego visiting family this is always my first night's dinner meal. It is just that good. The fried shrimp in particular is the one of my favorites. The meat dishes are excellent as well. The lines can sometimes be long, but it... More

Cleburne Cafeteria is still going strong 70+ years later and a lot has stayed the same. Leave your credit card at home because they like good old cash and will even still accept checks. It is very similar to Luby's, and all of the food was excellent - chicken fried steak, mac and cheese, broccoli, rolls, fruit salad, you name... More

Our family recently moved back to the city so we've been letting the kids choose the order of the restaurants we re-introduce ourselves. With dozens of favorites we did not expect them to choose the Cleburne, a little of a trek 25 minutes away. It is still spotless. The food, still delicious. Never that "it's been here all day taste."... More

The portions are varied and large, but the prices are a bit steep. $54 for dinner for two. We had a crab casserole (bland), spinach casserole, squash casserole (both delicious), and deviled eggs for one diner. A catfish filet, green beans, potatoes and a fruit salad for the other diner - all tasty. Two glasses of iced tea and two... More

Great Southern comfort food, always large beautiful delicious portions. Farmer's market fresh. Unusual: Cash only, no credit cards accepted, closed on Saturday. Be prepared: Service at the registrar is unfriendly, robotic, and rushed.

My husband and I visited for dinner on a Sunday. They are closed on Saturdays or else we would have gone then. An out of town guest had asked us about this place and we thought we should check it out as we live so close. The portions were a nice size. All items are sold separately. There are no... More

Fresh delicious home style food. Outstanding flavor and large portions. Cleburne will cost more than your run of the mill home style cafeteria but it is well worth it. They take cash only and no ATM on the site some come prepared.

When ordering food to go if you have ever been you could be waiting in a line and not even need to. Service at the register is not very friendly and you may feel rushed. They charge you for all of your containers, utencils, sauces, etc. Your receipt does not show you what you are charged for. Portions seem to... More
