I ate at America's for my birthday lunch and I was impressed. When I walked into the restaurant I was mesmerized. The atmosphere and decor are tres chic. Since I went for lunch I ordered from their lunch menu. You get an appetizer, main course, and dessert for $20. I had the avocado soup for my appetizer and it one... More

Most large buffets, even at top-flight eateries, accept a trade off between the quantity of food served and the quality thereof. One might imagine that the effect would be magnified at a brunch, often derided as a way to get rid of the last night's dribblings. Not so at Americas. The brunch buffet maintained a wide selection of quality food.... More

The avant-garde style architecture of this restaurant may not please everyone, but its churrasco steak will win your heart. It has a flavor that is unlike that of any other steak in the city, and I heartily recommend you order it rarer than you ordinarily order your steaks to get the full flavor. The appetizers are wonderful and varied--something for... More

We came here with our friends on the last night of our stay in Houston, they very kindly treated us to an amazing meal. I got the mixed grill which was awesome but the service was the greatest of all, outstanding and we were so looked after. Thank you for making our last night in Houston very special

An excellent dining experience. On a Sunday afternoon we were surprised they were serving brunch until 3 pm - a great selection. My wife has extreme shellfish allergy and the manager (Jesus) and his kitchen team accommodated her needs w/ great professionalism. We finished off our meal w/ a flaming Tres Leches cake that was every bit as good as... More

Monica and William at the bar happily serve up wonderful small plates until 7PM every day at a great price. The atmosphere is so unique, the food is inventive and the Corduas are really at the top of the food chain in Houston.

Americas and its Churassco steaks used to be a special treat, but the prices have zoomed up ( $40 for a very small 8oz piece) and the quality has plummeted! I had a dry, tough steak that I didn't even finish. The sides were good, but you get no choices. The dark atmosphere makes it impossible to see the menu... More

America's at River Oaks is an excellent setting for a business lunch. The waiters provide good service and there are a number of extra persons to fill water glasses and attend to anything extra during the meal. The food is a little pricey for lunch, but the portions are generous and I usually have some extra food for another meal.... More

Wow! When we walked in the decor was so much fun! Whoever their designer was did a great job! The wait staff was very good! Very attentive! The food was good! It was a birthday for one of our friends, so they brought us the tres leches for dessert with several forks. It was very good! I would like to... More
