My fav restaurant in the whole world! You won't be dissapointed

I go often to Houston and since the very first time I dined at Le Mistral, every time I go, I make sure to have dinner there. This is by far my fav restaurant in the whole world. Mind you, I lived in NYC for quite sometime and got to dine at most of the very top restaurants there, and... read more

I've been here a few times, and think their goat cheese salad is a keeper. I've also tried a number of different dishes, which were all decent (although not great). However, I've been somewhat disappointed with their service... They could try a little bit harder to be more pleasant to regular customers

So, I have a few qualms with French food. Generally, it's incredibly delicious. However, it's also expensive and terribly slow. Le Mistral was no different. I believe they offer a lunch menu for quick dining, but it is very limited. Regardless, Le Mistral serves up stellar French dishes! I enjoyed a quail & duck dish that was both creative and... More

If you enjoy the good food (meaning regular portions, fresh products) this is a must in Houston. It has the French good taste. My favorites dishes are the mushroom soup, tomato soup and the spinach salad. It is a small place with good food and service.

I'm French, Born and raised and food is part of my culture, I'm very picky and if there is one thing I've been missing since moving to Texas, it's the food! My search is over ! I can't explain how thrilled I am to have found a restaurant such as Le Mistral in Houston. After dining at many, many other... More

Was looking for a restaurant Friday evening for a quick bite when I remembered someone telling me about Le Mistral, so we decided to give it a change. When you walk in you are eagerly impressed. The furnishings and lighting are first class and gives you your first indication that this is going to be an expense night. We were... More

Le Mistral was highly recommended. And in truth, the main courses were very good - both meat and vegetarian. But it wasn't outstanding. However, the foie gras poêlé was not up to standard. The decor is over the top, but the restaurant was very dark. The server was the most diffident I have run into in memory. The wine list... More

This restaurant is one of the best ones that I have tried in Houston. Good choice of foods, the specials at lunch are really good and the choice of wine is excellent. We'll definitely return.

Business lunch at the recommendation of a local. We were accomodated a bit early due to a flight schedule. Both had the lunch special which included trout the day we visited. Service and food both excellent. Nice ambience and quiet so no need to speak over anyone. So good I would look forward to trying this restaurant for dinner. A... More
