Fabulous Gala Dinner

I was a guest to a gala dinner on June 8 at Le Mistral. The dinner was unbelievably fantastic! All the dishes were just perfect from beginning to end. The sublime food combined with top notch service and a cozy atmosphere made for a very memorable event.

Food and service were excellent. My daughter asked about type of flour used in macaroons and was invited to kitchen to visit with chef.

Let me start by saying the only thing that keeps this from getting 5 stars was the Escargot... Maybe I should still give it 5, but I love really good Escargot, and it was a bit underwhelming. Long on parsley, short on garlic and salt. Paired with the very salty pistachio butter with the bread, it was just not very... More

The service was great and the food too. I got a steak and it had wonderful french fries with it . The bread basket was good with the pistachio butter was yummy. The chocolate souffle was awesome loved every bite of it.

I go often to Houston and since the very first time I dined at Le Mistral, every time I go, I make sure to have dinner there. This is by far my fav restaurant in the whole world. Mind you, I lived in NYC for quite sometime and got to dine at most of the very top restaurants there, and... More

I've been here a few times, and think their goat cheese salad is a keeper. I've also tried a number of different dishes, which were all decent (although not great). However, I've been somewhat disappointed with their service... They could try a little bit harder to be more pleasant to regular customers

So, I have a few qualms with French food. Generally, it's incredibly delicious. However, it's also expensive and terribly slow. Le Mistral was no different. I believe they offer a lunch menu for quick dining, but it is very limited. Regardless, Le Mistral serves up stellar French dishes! I enjoyed a quail & duck dish that was both creative and... More

If you enjoy the good food (meaning regular portions, fresh products) this is a must in Houston. It has the French good taste. My favorites dishes are the mushroom soup, tomato soup and the spinach salad. It is a small place with good food and service.

I'm French, Born and raised and food is part of my culture, I'm very picky and if there is one thing I've been missing since moving to Texas, it's the food! My search is over ! I can't explain how thrilled I am to have found a restaurant such as Le Mistral in Houston. After dining at many, many other... More
