Since Pico's moved close to us, it has become one of our favorites. The menu encompasses all of Mexico, not just Tex-Mex. The fish is perfect. Interesting décor and well separated tables allowing for private conversation. This is unusual at most Houston Mexican style restaurants and appreciated at Pico's. My margarita was spot on and the ceviche excellent. As a solo, I selected a chicken fajita and found this to be well cooked and presented. The next margarita was also perfect. Pico's is a great spot... More

Thank you so much for the 4 star review Terry! We really appreciate you taking the time to give us detailed feedback. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your time at Picos. I must say, our margaritas are some of the best in Houston :) We hope that you will come back again soon. Don't forget our all-day... More

This is my cousins favorite place to eat. My sister and I was dining with him, I had the special which was great, my sister the salad, she didn't like too greasy.

Thank you so much for the 5 star review! We are so glad that you and your cousin love Picos :) However, I'm sorry to hear that your sister didn't enjoy her salad. Some people like to order their dressing on the side so that they can add their desired amount to the salad, so I would recommend her doing... More

Walked in to smiling faces that graciously escorted me to my table. I was in Houston alone on business. I was given a great table in the middle of the place. The Azteca Steak was tender and fresh. The only downside was my wife's not here. I will be back.

Very popular, fancy and expensive place. It strives to serve authentic Mexican food and we learned that you should stick to the very typical menu items, because everything else is very average. We ended up here because we wanted to try the "Chilorio tacos " rated as a "top taco" in the 18 places the magazine "Texas Monthly" recommends as... More

Thank you for your feedback Nereyda. We are glad that you enjoyed our Chiles En Nogada dish-- I must say, it is a crowd pleaser and one of our more popular dishes! You're so right, we are an authentic Mexican restaurant with complex Mexican dishes that represent each region of Mexico. I'm sorry to hear that our poblano cream sauce... More

This restaurant is the best version of authentic Mexican food, compared to any & all I've tried throughout the U.S. in my life. Try the shrimp diablo, its awesome! The waitstaff could've been more attentive to our group of 7. As a member of our party was from Mexico City, language barrier wasn't an issue.

I had fajita enchiladas. It tasted like the precooked fajita meat sold in a bag with canned enchilada sauce wrapped in a corn corn tortilla from a bag. It didn't taste fresh. Perhaps some of the more authentic Mexican dishes are the real stars on the menu. No one in our group of 4 was impressed. The restaurant is nice... More

Not only is all of our food prepared at our restaurant, but it is prepared daily with close attention to detail. All of our meats are cut and cooked to order to ensure quality and freshness. As you mentioned, we are more of an authentic Mexican restaurant with limited Tex-Mex dishes. We pride ourselves with both traditional and unique dishes... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by our family who lives in Houston. All of our orders were delicious and were very authentic Mexican dishes. We dined outside under a covered patio which was very pleasant. The service was excellent and our server helped us with our menu choices. The menu prices were reasonable. We give this restaurant our recommendation... More

My wife and I have dined in Pico's often. We were with them before the move to Kirby and now enjoy the atmosphere and convenience of the new location. It can be a bit noisey at times due to the large number of diners who can be present when they are busy. When available we highly recommend the Soft Shell... More

We are so glad that you and your wife dine at Picos so often! I wanted to take the time to let you know that if you ever need a quieter table to dine, I would recommend requesting the fiesta room or the tequila room (if they aren't reserved by a private party). Both of those rooms are a bit... More

I have visited Pico's several times now mainly because of the interesting menu. They offer cuisines from several different regions of Mexico, and my husband is a "best mole" hunter. We decided to try the 12 Days of Mole brunch. After all, what could be better? Right? Wrong. They served 12 different moles alright, but they were just chunks of... More
