I ate here on my last day in Houston. What a fabulous place. The food is superb. Five of us had lunch here. We sat outside in the shade. It's self service cafeteria-style with an extensive menu and lots of different sized salad portions available. Excellent quiches with crisp pastry and a wonderful selection of cakes. I can heartily recommend... More

For lunch, I got my usual French Dip which is consistent and you can see my previous review on this page which indicates that it's a great choice. My girlfriend loves the French Onion Soup so she got that as the main item but we also wanted to try a couple of other options to fill us up for lunch.... More

I was expecting something different, but wasn't totally dissatisfied? Nothing fancy, simple meals, sandwiches, soups, salads. Nothing impressive about the meal, but the bakery items looked and smelled great and there were many choices. I would have rather had a waiter/ waitress than going to the counter and ordering, like a buffet. Atmosphere was good; service and prices were ok.... More

I had an enjoyable brunch at La Madeleine before leaving Houston. The salad and the Florentine Quiche were great! They also had a great selection of pastries, coffee, salads and soups. The service was casual and fast (you place your order at the counter), plenty of tables, nice ambient and decor.

My wife and I came across this place while looking for a nice, simple dinner that was a good healthy and cost effective choice. this place met all of those criteria and more. While a minor letdown that we had to order from the counter, the food, service, and decor were all excellent. This minor letdown was overcome quickly. My... More

For some reason the Galleria Mall in Houston doesn't have a TripAdvisor available so I'm picking one near the area. I have been here a few times but went twice this past trip to Texas and both times I had the French Dip and a side Caesar Salad. Both were perfect and left me full. I'll continue to get this... La madeleine has lots of restaurants around Houston and its high quality bakery is sold for a good price. You can have a good and simple dinner there for 2 persons for around 30 dollars or less. Who would think you can find a good bakery in Houston for a reasonable price? They have excellent croissants, the quiche lorraine is... More
