I have been eating at Merida's since the 70's. My grandparents who lived in the East End off Navigation first took me there. Now this food is very good but not quite as good as my grandmother's (of course, grandma's is always better). Whenever I am in the area and it's lunch time; Merida's is the place to go. It... More

We have been returning to Merida for many, many years and we driving in from Sugar Land when we crave a real Mexican style breakfast. So, my request for Mother's Day breakfast was Merida! I had the Huevos Rancheros and my husband had the chorizo con huevos, which were both delicious. Their flour tortillas reminded me of the ones my... More

We had been wanting to check this restaurant for awhile to try their traditional Mexican food. Well, happy to say we were not disappointed. The traditional food was excellent and so was the tex-mex food. They have a extensive menu with some items not found in other Mexican restaurants. Margaritas are great and the service was very good. We highly... More

The service at Merida's was excellent they kept checking in on us to make sure the food was good and to see if we needed anymore chips and salsa. The food was excellent as well. I don't remember what the name of my food was, but it was like a pulled pork taco. It had been marinating for a while... More

Interesting décor. I had the empanadas & cochita pibil along with a margarita and was pleasantly surprised of the taste of the meal and drink. Despite my constant questioning of the menu, the server, Hugo, was helpful & pleasant in which ranks high in my books. Because of this outstanding experience, I will be a repeat customer.

This review is for takeout, and it's generally been my experience that nothing is as good at any restaurant with takeout vs dining in. Using Seamless on the weekend downtown, you don't get a ton of options. So one weekend I finally decided to try Merida. Horchata was absolutely terrible. I tried repeatedly to choke it down but it was... More

Fun family atmosphere and it even occasionally has a live band. The managers are very engaged and friendly. Food is good and more than vaguely interior Mexico style... good!!

We went with kids, and six buck for a kids meal, isn't a good deal. But as far as adults menu all the choices and authentic cuisne is great. We had gortias, and the special. Flavorful! Service was great.kinda sketchy neighborhood so go for lunch. we would go back just not at dark. It was just pricey compared to other... More

You cannot find any better Cochinita Pibil in the Yucatan, Mexico! It is always favorable and prepared just right! The pickled onions and re-fried black beans are the best! Beer is always very cold!
