Simply a great experience

All these positive reviews you read here are accurate!!!!! But I must say by far the Lentil soup is simply amazing the added small prices of port in the soup hit the spot over and over again. The guacamole is perfect yet I would prefer a little more spice to it. Everything from the tacos to the... read more

Love that they don't print a menu book--instead they come up with dishes each day based on available fresh ingredients. While it was a little difficult to figure out what everything was, the waiter was more than happy to explain and make commendations. We ordered the Chilean Sea Bass--blackened. It was moist and not too spicy. Set upon a bed... More

Nice blend of southwest . The choices are more exciting than the usual Tex/mex fair. Food is planned and cooked fresh everyday. I had the Chilean Sea Bass. It was amazing. Simple but the flavors made this dish exquisite.

I was excited to see that Irma's serves several types of game animals raised on Texas ranches. I had axis deer tamales - they were incredibly delicious. Combined with an excellent margarita and tasty chips with salsa made for an excellent dinner.

There are two Irma's in the downtown section of Houston. The original close to the ballpark; and the newer one closer to downtown. We ate lunch at the ladder. I believe it is owned by the son; and the other by the dad. Lunch was busy but we were seated promptly; the menu is written in chalk on the wall.... More

I have traveled to Houston about once a month on business for the last 10 years and enjoy finding great restaurants. I must say this is the best Mexican food I've ever had anywhere. From the chips and salsa through the Tres Leches and everything in between it was outstanding. I'm already looking forward to coming back on my next... More

I was here with a group -- we didn't order off the menu, instead we sampled a number of entrees via a buffet. The food was very good -- loved the chicken breast in particular --very tasteful seasonings. Staff attention to our group, in a separate dining room, was excellent. The main dining area was busy and looked like fun!

I must dine out more than anyone I know and absolutely LOVE Mexican food! Well let me tell you if you're like me and want authentic delish Mexican food, you gotta try this place out. The Carnitas are prepared every morning by marinating pork in a ranchero sauce. Once prepared, they're delivered to your table as chunks of delicate mouth... More

Authentic Mexica, nice atmosphere, great service. Exotic meats cooked with traditional methods are truly scrumptious. Will come back if I get a chance
