A Nice Hotel Restaurant

It was our anniversary & first visit to Olivette. We were greeted by a delightful hostess who wished us a happy anniversary. We were then greeted by the Operations Director who was a brilliant manager as he chatted briefly with us and continued to check on us throughout the evening AND served us a complimentary glass of champagne personally! Our... More

Had dinner with my grown children, spouse and significant others on Saturday evening, August 1. It was a delightful evening. We had an oval table, so all seven of us could converse. The food was fabulous and the service was outstanding. It was one of the most enjoyable dining experiences that I have had in Houston. Also, the room is... More

This is one of the finest restaurants in Houston. I was never aware of it until we stayed at the Houstonian hotel and I'm glad we did so that we can experience this fabulous eatery. The service was prompt and impeccable all the way around. Our wait person Meza was very attentive and knowledgeable. The appetizer Crab Cakes were simply... More

I stayed one night at the Houstonian. It was my first stay at the hotel. After packing up to leave, I met some family at the Olivette for breakfast. The restaurant decor is stylish but relaxed. The restaurant takes advantage of the beautiful hotel grounds with floor-to-ceiling windows. A very relaxed and comfortable setting. The menu was varied but not... More

Great service for a group of 20 women! Nice variety of up-scale food. If you are looking for more casual food, you can order off the bar menu. Several in our group ordered pizza which was delicious. The appetizers were excellent - I recommend the scallop and crab cake. The drinks were expensive for what you got, but interesting and... More

My wife and I enjoyed a top notch breakfast, quality above other high end restaurants and hotels. Started with fresh juice of the day, pineapple juice. The Eggs Benedict were a real treat, perfectly cooked with freshly prepared holandaisse sauce and served over high quality Black Forest ham and crisp arugula overs a fresh croissant. Scrambled eggs were fresh and... More

I have been on many occasions for a business lunch. The staff and the food are very good. There is really nothing not to like except the fact that is can be pretty dead. Now I don't need to be entertained, I am usually here for a business lunch, but there is just no energy in the place. I ate... More

This venue is not too far away from the resort that hosts it. Located inside "The Houstonian", the restaurant features traditional Southern American cuisine. I have seen much better wine lists, however, the most significant grapes are well represented. I am a seasoned red wine connoisseur and was pleasantly surprised to be able to enjoy a bottle of "Ornellaia". They... More
