The Sunday buffet brunch at Hugo's is deliciously excellent: quality ingredients, wonderful textures and amazing flavors. You'll find a fantastic variety of buffet options. It's all superb, but the chilaquilas, ceviche and roasted pork are stand outs. Make sure you save room for their desserts - they are sinfully delectable. Be sure to make reservations, this place is very popular.... More

Went for brunch recently with party of 12. I was taking foodie friends of mine who had never been but read good reviews. I wish the experience was better. 1. Valets denied me handicapped parking even though I had a permit. They do valet only during brunch and street parking signs in the area prohibit non permit parking on the... More

While the menu is limited I appreciate the creativity of it - really great choices for such a small menu, tells me they probably do everything on it very well. I had the pistachio mole shrimp - I wasn't crazy about the nontraditional mole, but it was good, the shrimp were excellent! The accompanying rice pyramid was more style than... More

We absolutely love this place...especially on Sunday for their brunch. We have been several times and it ALWAYS is a treat. This time we were a party of 6 including two grade school age grandchildren. Each of us loved our experience in many different ways. To start...have a wonderful margarita....they are super.....the kids would say that the fresh lemonade is... More

This Montrose classic continues to serve top quality regional Mexican fare after more than a decade. Sunday brunch is one of the best in the city. You can't go wrong with the seafood. Also, many vegetarian options.

Looked this up on a business trip, food was authentic and waiter was fantastic. Food was served as described by the waiter. The others I dined with had the same experience.

The question everyone asks after having a meal at Hugo's..."Did you try the sautéed grasshoppers appetizer ?". And yes we did. And they were about what I expected. No great culinary experience, but not bad and not gross. They come with some really good blue corn tortillas and a nice sauce and above-average guacamole. Will I have them again? Probably... More

I normally avoid buffets but highly recommend Hugo's Sunday brunch of authentic Mexican food. Go straight for the Mexican hot chocolate and savor as you listen to the mariachi band. Grouper ceviche was fresh and flavorful.

Good food choices. Large (!) portions. Good margaritas. Great wine menu. Service was prompt with hot food. Waiter was very prompt. For a Thurs. night it was very busy so weekend would be hectic. Parking is valet only due to the crowded neighborhood.

My girlfriend and I visited this place for the first time on a Thursday evening. On first glance, the place was quite full. I ordered a Mezcal margarita. It had a unique and strong smokey flavor that was a bit too bold on it's own but complemented my main course very handsomely (more on that later). For appetizers we ordered... More
