My wife booked a brunch party of 9 for noon 06JULY2014 for She and I and 7 business associates/ friends. I was medivaced from Iraq in 2008 and retired medically from the military in 2011. When she and I pulled into the ONE marked handicapped space next to the Valet stand with my permanent handicapped placard hanging, one of the... More

Had great dinners here in the past and recommended it to a group of colleagues for an early dinner after a day of business meetings. Unfortunately, I got food poisoning from the experience. Avoid ceviche (I had tuna ceviche), and octopus. It's pretty clear that my food poisoning came from one of those. Everyone else had a different dish from... More

There are a number of winning restaurants in Houston - Uchi, Mark's, among others. But Hugo's is perhaps my favorite all around. From the service to the food to the ambiance, you just can't go wrong! The outdoor patio is just divine this time of year. We went for an early dinner on a weekend and had a marvelous time.... More

Three of us checked Hugo's for Sunday brunch. We had a reservation. Decent food, excellent desserts and coffee, outstanding service. For $29 a person - it's inexpensive in our opinion. Con: very noisy, not the place to relax and talk (band adds to that too).

Our family loves Hugo's! The food and margaritas are delicious and authentic. Love the snapper Ceviche and the Taquitos!

Gorgeous food! Great service! Reminds me of central Mexico - cuisine is definitely innovative yet traditional regional fare. I had chiles rellenos; Others had the baby pig roasted with excellent sauce... Mine was a ground pumpkin seed sauce over roasted poblanos stuffed with a smoky chicken and nice white regional cheese. We began with mini tuna fish tacos and small... More

My husband and I eat here about once a month on average. The best margarita I have had anywhere. The blackberry mojito is also excellent. This is not tex-mex but interior Mexican cuisine. The lechon appetizer (suckling pig) is a favorite as are the plantain empanadas. I have tried most everything on the menu, the chef adds or changes things occasionally... More

It is best to go early for dinner as the noise level is very high. The food and service is excellent. We usually order several appetizers along with a side of Guacamole. Chips are fantastic. Last visit we had Octopus, very good.
