Attended a birthday party. There was quite a crowd but the waitress did not seem to have any problems taking care of everyone. The food was ok, not the greatest but not bad. Good selection of beer. Had a great time.

First, the atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and it might be worth a visit back just for that reason. However, I had perused the menu online for days before visiting, and I knew just what I wanted: English herb chicken with wild rice and sauteed spinach. The chicken was herbed all right, and it wasn't subtle. The rosemary was way... More

Ex pat's yearning for a pint and some pub grub will find this a good choice. Their fish and chips are quite good and the beer choice extensive. It manages to create an authentic pub atmosphere for folks to enjoy. parking can be tricky in busy days as space is limited . Well worth a visit.

Meet a friend and potential client on a Monday just before noon and was pleasantly surprised by the warm décor and friendly atmosphere. This place reminds me of some of the places in Chicago or New York with brick walls and a large bar tucked back in a corner of what I think was an old church on the edge... More

My husband and I stopped in for a drink and some dinner and we were quite happy with the Food, Drinks and Service. We will definitely return.

After struggling on where to go for a late lunch, five of us ended up here because it was close to the office. Three in our party had been here before, two were from out of town. The place was pretty empty which normally I would be concerned with although it was 2:00 pm on Monday of a holiday week.... More

I think the essential flaw in the whole model is to reproduce cuisine from England, which is not the world's most remarkable food. So you have to know that when you choose to come here. Having said that, however, I will say that as reproductions of English pub food go ---> this is decent. It's not great (because I wouldn't... More

I have been coming to the Black Lab for YEARS probably 20 or so. Anyway, it used to be owned by a Brit and when it was it was fantastic. I believe that about 10-12 years a go it was bought over and slowly the food and star have GONE SOUTH! It suck beyond belief. Its too bad too because... More

Such a shame... This pub is located in a popular area in Houston and has a great outdoor atmosphere, BUT the price they charge for beer is horrific! Hubby and I stopped on a beautiful Saturday afternoon to grab a cold drink so that we could sit in their outdoor garden area. I ordered 1 Blue Moon and my husband... More
