Have been going here for years

I started going to this place in 1987. When I would want to treat my former skinny self, I would go buy eclairs or a croissant. Quality has been consistent from my first bite to present times. Seems like a locals hangout. Lots of regulars and the staff seemed to know them. Selection of desserts and gelato is amazing. Can sit inside or out on the patio. In the evening the front of the Cafe is open to the street. Great place to stop for a snack or a treat.

I took a blueberry tart to the office. It was delicious - not to sweet and FULL of blueberries. The office loved it. they were busy for lunch. Parking can be tricky, but it's worth it. I must stop by again and have a cappuccino and croissant outside on a sunny day. They bake all their goods in house -... More

Every item I have had here is spectacular. The cappucino is made with care and is delicious. Really can't go wrong with any of their baked items. Absolutely love their scones and on a recent Saturday breakfast alot of plates were walking by with scones. Nice place to sit and relax in the afternoon or great place to get your... More

We were in the area and stumbled on this place. Not much sitting space. Staff was nice. We had soup, croissants and croque miseur. It really was just a ham sandwich. Had to keep going to the counter for tea. The pastries are wonderful. Pricey though. Parking is horrible.

After reading mostly good reviews about this place on Tripadvisor, my husband, daughter, and I decided to give it a try. I ordered a croque monsieur and got a small sandwich with nothing on the side that was just a grilled ham and cheese sandwich - NOT a croque monsieur (I recently returned from France and have made them myself... We stopped here because we wanted French food for lunch while visiting Houston. The menu has an assortment of items that are French and American, so we selected a croque monsieur, a French classic, and a tuna salad sandwich. The tuna salad was just what one would expect and very good, but the croque monsieur was terribly disappointing. If you've... More

We ate breakfast here at one of the outside tables (we had dogs with us). We were pretty happy with the food here. We ordered espresso and cappuccino (with cinnamon spiced whip), a baguette, a croissant, 2 hard boiled eggs, and a dessert roll for later. The service was quick, the food up to standards (Happily the bread was crusty... More

I've always enjoyed the food at this cafe until I tried their "tabouli" salad. It's nothing more than an over-priced zesty couscous salad. Tabouli is my all time favorite dish and I am sad when I come by a tabouli salad made with so little authenticity. Did they even try??? Do they know what a tabouli salad is??? Answer: no!... More

Met friends for delicious coffee and French bread on Friday morning. Had only one roll but could have eaten a dozen: crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with real butter properly room temperature. Best in Houston!
