It's ok!

Nothing special about the restaurant but food is good and service is also good. The steak is really expensive but apart from this prices are reasonable for that area.

We stopped here for lunch recently. My impression was it was nothing special, food was average and restrooms were dirty. The location is the only thing that makes this restaurant special. It had the pot roast in a large bowl. However, the chunks of meat were too large so I had to somehow cut them in a soup bowl. They... More

I like the location of this spot, it's close to home, but the restaurant is a bit dirty. They sat us at a table that the paper was dirty, So we moved on our own to the next one. My husband had to sweep off his booth seat, that was also stained and tired. The service was super fast, nice... More

This is one of our default restaurants for a consistently delicious meals, great service, reasonable prices (for outstanding quality), and cozy ambiance. There's a wide selection of Houston staples ranging from Tex-Mex to Gulf seafood and American classics. There's something for everyone, even for our very finicky 4-year-old.

Dinner here is consistently delicious. The service is great and there is a nice wine list. We had both the fried oysters and the jalapeño shrimp for appetizers. The jalapeño shrimp were outstanding. In contrast the oysters paled and were just ok. The better entree was the cedar plank salmon which my husband ordered. The other couple and I had... More

I had dinner there (twice) last week while at a conference. The food was excellent. They certainly had the best vegetarian platter I have ever had.

Although we were stuck at the Raven for dinner unexpectedly during one of Houston's sudden torrential rain showers recently, this establishment produced a great meal, with very attentive service (despite being understaffed due to the flood conditions), seamlessly. We were very grateful for the fine food as we watched out the window the occasional car/truck plow through the flooded street... More

Ate lunch on a Wednesday around 1:30 and place was about 1/3 full. We ordered two entrees - salad with grilled salmon and grilled chicken sandwich. The portion of both meals was substantial and my friend enjoyed the salmon a lot but I felt that the chicken was over cooked and was very dry. Definitely disappointing. Our waitress was friendly... Came here for lunch for the third time. Had the sweet potato and spinach enchiladas. Lunch partner had the shrimp etouffee. We shared the appetizer of jalapeno shrimp. We liked everything and look forward to going back to try other items. Our service was good too.

....so I hate to rate them just average. Maybe it was what we ordered - I had a hamburger and fries and my husband had the shrimp etouffee . The dishes were good, but nothing fabulous. My fries were limp, the burger tasty. The others in our party seemed to enjoy the evening's special - chicken fried steak; one person... More
