Was in the area and because of the deli's reputation for good sandwiches gave it a try. We ordered the corned beef brisket, to go, sandwich was good. My gripe with this restaurant even though we were in there for about 15 is the wait-staff. Most seemed to be more interested in socializing with each rather than customer service. Stood... More

I love the friend pickles and Yankee pot roast sandwich! If you are in Houston, you should definitely check this place out!

Had matzoball soup for the first time and I may not be spoiled for life. It was amazing. Others had their huge sandwhiches. You have to love any place that has a huge vat of pickles out for you to grab!

The food was greasy and the server messed up our order….so I have nothing positive to say. I regret that we invested our one Houston meal at this establishment.

Had lunch on May 10, 2014. Waited for 15 minutes for a table which is okay. Staff was stressed too many customers not enough wait staff. Waited for water, beers and food. Asked the host when leaving what what is the problem today? He mentioned that it was graduation and mothers day weekend-management should had been prepared.

I love pastrami and I should have known better than to order it in Houston!! I thought since it was called Katz's maybe, somehow, I would magically be transported to the lower east side of NYC. Even the rye bread was gummy. The meat was fatty and greasy. After I opened the sandwich and cut the fat out I was... More

Katz's is one of our regular stops in the Montrose area. The food is superb and the service is too! The deserts are drop-dead-beautiful.

It seemed like a really interesting place and has lots of character, but I was put off by the price andwhat you get for it. First glance was $15 for hot dog fries and a soda That just comes across to me as a bit much We did wind up with the daily lunch special that was about $11 for... More

Thank goodness for this place. being from New Orleans we are used to a lot of late night spots to eat. In Houston, we were told to go here. Sat at the bar and the bartender was more than gracious! Delicious sandwiches and wonderful St. Germaine Gin and tonic!

Lunch/early dinner in the afternoon! Birthday surprise...as seen on TV, large portions, but (3) different sizes - take your pick. And don't skip dessert, the best 7-layer chocolate fudge cake, enough for two maybe three! Service at the Montrose location is excellent without being overbearing. Enjoy. Parking in the back.
