A favorite for many many years.

Great open and friendly atmosphere. Katz's cheese blintzes are the best. Cinnamon roll is very good. I am 45 years old and I love a weekend breakfast or brunch. But I confess in my college days because Katz's is open 24 hours I would visit after bar hopping, and it was always a fun late night... read more

We enjoy going to Katz for a family breakfast a few times a year. The Broadway Breakfast is $8.69, I think, if you get there before 10am; you pick four items from a list. I like coffee, french toast, cheese-stuffed potato, and beef bacon. The french toast is the best I've ever had. The beef bacon is usually very good,... More

Neither my friend nor I had been to a deli in a long time and thought it sounded good. When I worked in Cleveland many years ago I loved Corky and Lenny's. When I go to NYC I always have lunch at the Carnegie Deli. We were looking forward to that kind of genuine deli food. My pastrami was dry... More

I didn't have as much difficulty getting into Studio 54 in its heydey as my party and I did getting into Katz's deli on a recent Saturday afternoon. And I was treated much more kindly by Studio 54's bouncers. That's right, Katz's employs a fleet of burly and surly bouncers to deal with the inexplicably large crowds that descend on... More

This is a great spot to grab a sandwich anytime. I came here around midnight after going out with a friend and was so happy to find a yummy sandwich. I ordered the Reuben with corn beef on rye, and it was close to perfection. Huge portion, great meat, and the bread was fantastic. The fries were also crisp and... More

I had many pastrami sandwiches at the 2nd Avenue Deli in NYC, and the sandwich I had at Katz was nothing like them. Granted, I asked for the "skinny" with 3-1/2 oz. meat, but this was dry bread and very litely seasoned pastrami. There were no complimentary pickles to go with it, either, other than the one that came on... More

Our server, Vince, was great and made several suggestions since it was our first time. Had a cup of Borscht and it was so good! Reminded me of my childhood. Will definitely return!

This is the typical NY style deli you find many places. Parking is across the street and easy to find. We all ordered various sandwiches and they all were fine but not great. Huge helpings though. The server was just having a bad day- surly and just unpleasant. Perhaps this is all part of the NY Deli experience? .

Overall excellent place. Nice outside and inside. A little history to the building/location. Stephen was one of the best waiters I've ever had!

We stumbled across this place by accident on our honeymoon and we so glad we did! The food was delicious and portion sizes were huge! In particular the hot pastrami sandwiches were amazing-full of pastrami and so tasty! Service is great too with attentive waiters with fun personalities. Great place to go-definitely recommend!!
