One of Houston's best "real" restaurants. Definitely not one to miss. more

haute cuisine. the appetizer fish with milk was fine, the entree, cinammon pheasant was overcooked. the cinamon was burnt rather than integrated with the pheasant and it was just dry overall. prepared by someone who studied, but has no soul or real talent. more

Recently had dinner at Cafe Annie with co-workers. We were seated right away and dinner was excellent. I had the steak with white garlic sauce. My companions had lobster, lamb chops, & a tuna steak. Everyone was very happy with their meals. Dessert was excellent also. I would definitely eat there again. more

Swanky... You will stand in line if you do not make a reservation. You will experience some crowdiness. You will notice the slightly-arrogant atmosphere, and the haute-cuisine-establishment-wannabe attitude. However, the place is well appointed and the food is satisfying. I'll admit you can pay less for better food elsewhere, but Cafe Annie is a classic Houston experience. Good for impressing... more

The hostess' were warm and while our table wasn't ready for us at the time we reserved it, the handsome young men at the bar were entertaining and made the wait nonexistent.
