The original Mama Ninafs. Excellent place to eat.

This restaurant is known for their Fajitas! I get the chicken and steak combo yummy. They have a cheese and sausage mixture and they place it in a flour tortilla too good. It is under the appetizers. The margaritas are awesome too. try it out you will go back!

Fast, friendly service even at peak times. Never seen a restaurant more generous with the chips and salsa. Great selection-- definitely something for everyone here. They have valet parking but there are lots of spaces behind the restaurant. Great food too for reasonable prices. Only reason I didn't give it five stars is because it is not a luxury dining... I visit Ninfa's every time I go to the Houston area. I was in town for a work conference and took a group of co-workers to this amazing Mexican restaurant. We made a reservation through Open Table about a week prior to going to Houston so we could have the time that we wanted and we ended up going on... More

We read about Ninfa's in a SWA magazine and decided to try it. Our party of 6 adults and 2 kids ordered a variety of chicken and fish entrées. The fish was highly rated but the chimichangas were inedible for one and poorly rated by another -- "smothered with Velvita." I had the signature chicken frajita tacos. The tacos were... More

It has been quite a few years since TXBohemian has tried Ninfa's on Navigation. Picked a night when it was guaranteed to be packed: Saturday night , good weather, Dynamo match, etc. Wait was aprox. 45 minutes, and there was surprisingly an opening at the bar. Carlos, our bartender, made some tasty (yet pricey at $12 each) 'ritas. Food was... More

We went to dinner on a Friday night without a call ahead. It took about 45 minutes to get a table (which is totally understandable for the business), anyway we had drinks at the bar while we were waiting. I had the Mango Habanero Margarita, I don't want to state the obvious but it was a bit too spicy for... More

We really enjoyed this restaurant. We found it on Alison's Cook's top 100 restaurant guide. The food was top notch. Our tea and soda was pricey ($3/each)! Cozy and tight quarters but worth the visit!

Recent family trip to downtown Houston was brightened by a late lunch Friday to experience this historic and well respected landmark restaurant. We deliberately waited until a later lunch to avoid what we know can be a crowd but were still greeted by pleasant staff and swift service. All of our entree choices were prepared well and the Margarita really... More

I love this place! All the food I have tried so far is outstanding... And the Ninfaritas are wonderful! I strongly recommend the Tacos al pastor: pineapple, charcoal grilled meat and the usual peppers... SO GOOD! I have also tried there the shrimp plates, and they are excellent too! Prices are reasonable (maybe a bit pricey for Texmex food), but... More

I had been to Ninfa's, but it had been a long time ago and one of the other restaurants. This Ninfa's was comfortable in its appearance and atmosphere. We were meeting friends and were very early so the wait staff was helpful, but not hovering. They brought us some cornbread muffins (I don't know the official name) and they were... More
