Description: Since our 1967 opening as a sister restaurant to the world-famous Commander's Palace in New Orleans, Brennan's of Houston has evolved into the city's premier destination for memorable dining served with true Southern hospitality. From the reservationist to the waiters, chefs and every associate behind the scenes, our team is focused on the highest standard of excellence and equally dedicated to creating enduring memories of snapshots in time: the sealing of business deals, wedding proposals, joyful celebrations, and the marking of significant milestones along life's way. And the proof is in the (bread) pudding, with loyal patrons returning time and again to create new memories.Reflecting the same warmth as our friendly greeting, each farewell concludes with Brennan's signature lagniappe: an abundance of unforgettably fresh pecan pralines.

Refreshing Pim's Cup, goat cheese and waffle grits, shrimp hush puppies and seafood enchilada. All for seven dollars each in a great atmosphere! Need I say more!

I have been eating at Brennan family restaurants, since their beginning in New Orleans and for the entire 49 years they have been in Houston. I have so many cherished memories of this Houston landmark; my prom date, my wedding brunch and numerous other special occasions, that is why it saddens me so to not be able to give them... More

This is THE Houston restaurant for a special meal or celebration. I hosted an anniversary lunch here and had no worries throughout the reservation phase or meal. The servers were excellent and efficient even after a couple of people changed their seats to fill-in for no shows. I always get the pecan crusted gulf fish - yum - and the... More

I had dinner in fancy and amazing places like Bavette's in Chicago or gourmet restaurants in Spain... but this place had exceeded my expectations. AMAZING! The food is incredible. The turtle soup and the crab cake gave me goosebumps. YOU MUST TRY THIS!!!! I also got the gumbo and the gulf fish; simply great! The atmosphere couldn't be better... Before... More

Soft Shell Crab was incredible. And Banana's foster served table side flambéed. Service was incredible, Soup 1-1-1 was just a sampling of their delicious soups. I had mud pie and it was terrific. Better get reservations or eat in the bar.

Brennan's of Houston is one of those restaurants that has the perfect combination of ambience, great food, and service. If you're a visitor to Houston or even a resident, this is a must-go. Even if it's for lunch time and their $0.25 martinis. Limit three, y'all, Monday through Friday. The food is rich, New Orleans-style so do not hold back.... More

I attended a wedding reception here. The venue was great, we had drinks and appetizers outside in the courtyard. We also tasted the wonderful pralines set out at the entrance. Dinner and dancing was upstairs, in what I understand to be a newly re-done function room. The tables were set beautifully and there was enough space left between tables. The... More

From the salad to the dessert everything was fabulous. We were a party of 9 celebrating a birthday and other than a few serving snafus the experience was delightful. I hadn't been in years and I was dreaming of ordering the unforgettable pecan crusted snapper. Imagine my disappointment when it was not on the menu......however when I asked the waiter... More

We recently dined at the kitchen table at Brennan's for our parents' 80th birthday celebration. As always, the food was excellent, the staff was super attentive and we couldn't have asked for a better experience.

My husband and I went for brunch on both Mother's Day and Father's Day, and both were just lovely dining experiences. From Destiny, who initially took our reservations, to Chris Lockhart who seated us in one of the very nice upstairs dining rooms overlooking the courtyard, to Chelsea, our wait server, who you could see enjoys her job at Brennan's....
