Since our 1967 opening as a sister restaurant to the world-famous Commander's Palace in New Orleans, Brennan's of Houston has evolved into the city's premier destination for memorable dining served with true Southern hospitality. From the reservationist to the waiters, chefs and every associate behind the scenes, our team is focused on the highest standard of excellence and equally dedicated to creating enduring memories of snapshots in time: the sealing of business deals, wedding proposals, joyful celebrations, and the marking of significant milestones along life's way. And the proof is in the (bread) pudding, with loyal patrons returning time and again to create new memories.Reflecting the same warmth as our friendly greeting, each farewell concludes with Brennan's signature lagniappe: an abundance of unforgettably fresh pecan pralines.

Great well-prepared food in an old world atmosphere with top notch service! The menu has unusual items with a Cajun bent. Best brunch in Houston.

For a place that emphasizes their dress code and jackets so much, Brennan's did not live up to expectations. Valet was quick and efficient but costs $5 (almost all similar restaurants I have been to in Houston don't charge for valet). The hostess was kind and quickly seated us. Appetizers: Both the garlic toast and french bread were great. We... More

The food is excellent, the waiters are excellent, the is ambiance outstanding. Valet parking is available and there are shuttles available "free" for those going to Jones Hall, the Opera, the Alley, and so forth.

It's hard not to be in love with Brennan's! From the time it opened in Houston till now - it has always been a special place for lovers, business people, family gatherings and special occasions! It is simply beautiful with French doors, mirrors, courtyards, fountains & flowers everywhere. Talk about Southern hospitality!!! From the moment you arrive at the entrance... More

I so much wanted this to be a five star like it used to be and like Brennan's on Royal Street in New Orleans is, but it wasn't. If Manuel, the waiter wasn't so good, it would have been even lower. We had firm reservations and when we arrived, we were ushered past the great dining room to a little... More

Have never had a bad experience at this restaurant. The service, food and the full experience are worth every penny. Brunch is incredible (try the crab cakes!) and dinner is as well - the gumbo, steaks, everything I've tasted is fantastic. If you'd like a little splurge while you're there, try the Cafe Brulot - what a show! Brennan's also... More

Service is excellent. Food is great. All soups are great. Try the turtle soup. Everything is good. Desserts are wonderful. Bananas foster are a classic. Bread pudding is also great. The only thing I did not like, was paying $5 for valet after dropping over $350 for dinner. It seemed petty. A perfect place for celebrations or dates. One of... More

We've enjoyed Brennan as a group of 150, smaller graduation paries of 25 ... or just dinner for two! The food is always stellar and the atmosphere unique in each situation: upstairs ballroom type setting, private small group patio type rooms, a table for two or quaint cozy bar! It's all lovely!

We went in while visiting Houston for business. The restaurant is upscale but not stuffy. The food was delicious. We had grilled oysters and fried tomatoes with crayfish tails for appetizers which were both great! I had red fish Pontchartrain for dinner, and it was wonderful! I would definitely go back.
