Since our 1967 opening as a sister restaurant to the world-famous Commander's Palace in New Orleans, Brennan's of Houston has evolved into the city's premier destination for memorable dining served with true Southern hospitality. From the reservationist to the waiters, chefs and every associate behind the scenes, our team is focused on the highest standard of excellence and equally dedicated to creating enduring memories of snapshots in time: the sealing of business deals, wedding proposals, joyful celebrations, and the marking of significant milestones along life's way. And the proof is in the (bread) pudding, with loyal patrons returning time and again to create new memories.Reflecting the same warmth as our friendly greeting, each farewell concludes with Brennan's signature lagniappe: an abundance of unforgettably fresh pecan pralines.

Deliciously sophisticated

Treat yourself to some delicious New Orleans-style cuisine while dining in a beautifully charming restaurant. The food is flavorful. The service is attentive. This place's history and charm are the cherries on top.

To celebrate my wife's birthday, I took her to Brennan's of Houston. What a wonderful meal. I had the lamb, from the Chef's 3 course special. It was excellent, very tender, perfectly prepared. I started my meal with the Seafood Gumbo, which was wonderful. The roux was very dark. The secret to an excellent roux, in my opinion, is to... More

If you want to go to a restaurant that has excellent food, excellent service with a great atmosphere then Brennan's is the place to go. The Turtle Soup and Bananas Foster are both an absolute must. Do not turn up your nose at the turtle soup until you have tried it.

Pricey and worth it. Food was delicious - they even had a child-sized portion of Filet Oscar, which was perfect. Staff was well trained and the service was outstanding.

It was Valentines Day so they get a little leeway for service. When I go to a restaurant with Brennan's rep, you expect everything to be first rate and it was just OK.

The food was good, but to say the waitstaff was disinterested in customer service would be an overstatement. Had trouble getting our waiter's attention and when we did service was slow and unreliable. When we tried to get his attention his reaction was literally "yes I know and I told you it would be just a minute". A little surprising.... More

Brennan's is one of my favorite restaurants in Houston. I've hosted several events at this location for both work and personal. The service is "on point" from the moment you get out of your car and the "old money" ambiance of the interior is very classy. They are known for their tableside preparations like Shrimp Chippewa, which is their version... More

True to the Brennan's mark in a building designed years ago to replicate the New Orleans building. Beautiful dining rooms, top service, and excellent food. Excellent corn muffins and biscuits; snapping turtle soup, shrimp and grits, and bananas foster. Highly recommend. Brunch available Saturday and Sunday. Sunday is a particularly difficult day to find a lunch place of this quality... More

We were there for a rehearsal dinner upstairs in a nice room. We were served a sit down dinner that started with turtle soup that was wonderful and also the salad! After that the rest of the meal was so-so steak was just ok & fish was a bit fishy.

Got there right on time, and we were seated right away, lots of space between tables, super food and service, including a short visit with the Executive Chef. Interesting that people actually got "dressed up," to eat here. The best lemon meringue pie I have ever had. Looking forward to the next time.
