Description: Since our 1967 opening as a sister restaurant to the world-famous Commander's Palace in New Orleans, Brennan's of Houston has evolved into the city's premier destination for memorable dining served with true Southern hospitality. From the reservationist to the waiters, chefs and every associate behind the scenes, our team is focused on the highest standard of excellence and equally dedicated to creating enduring memories of snapshots in time: the sealing of business deals, wedding proposals, joyful celebrations, and the marking of significant milestones along life's way. And the proof is in the (bread) pudding, with loyal patrons returning time and again to create new memories.Reflecting the same warmth as our friendly greeting, each farewell concludes with Brennan's signature lagniappe: an abundance of unforgettably fresh pecan pralines.

Seldom do great establishments take their brand on the road. I hate to say it but that was our experience here. There was a sense of rushing by the staff albeit they were friendly about it. Being fair not be overly critical as a satellite restaurant to the highly famed Brennan's in naw leans, we couldn't help but make comparisons.... More

Started with the turtle soup which was delicious. A friend had the soup trio and said it was a mistake to get anything but the turtle soup alone. Another friend ordered the strip, which looked delicious. I had the filet off-menu with hollandaise sauce and asparagus, which was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. The bananas foster were the perfect way... More

This is a great location to impress folks but the food is meh. I never ate a meal this salty in my 10 years in this city known for the high standards of its restaurants. Go there and be elegant all you want, but the food will not impress you. Old school Houston.

This place is elegant even at lunch. There is a dress code meaning no jeans and beach wear. Even thoug it was 100 degrees outside, people were covered up. We were warned by our hotel that there is a dress code so we were in dresses. We were seated in an intimate area with only 8 tables overlooking a courtyard.... More

What a great dinner! The restaurant is in a beautiful old building, restored after a recent fire. Head to toe, the place was sophisticated and full of southern charm. The food equally matched the decor, everything we had from soup to dinner to dessert was top notch. When in Houston visit Brennan's!

My son and I dined at Brennan's on a Friday night. He had jeans and a casual shirt on, and the maître de seated us with no fuss thank goodness! He ordered the gumbo (which was delicious), and. the Pontchartrain (a seafood extravaganza.snapper, shrimp, and something else...the snapper was delicious). I ordered the filet, and I could could it with a... More

a small group of us had the pleasure to eat lunch at J. Alexander's and agreed that even though lunch time is a busy compacted small amount of time to be served quality food, these guys do it very well. The food is fresh and well prepared; the service is professional and attentive. This place does not hold back anything.... More

The service was great and promptu. My only complaint was I asked for filet mignon without mushrooms and the plate came with mushrooms. The best thing about the restaurant is dessert and how they cook the banna with flame right at the table. The banana dessert was delicious.

Dined here with a wedding party. What an experience. The turtle soup is probably the best roux based soup I've every had. Service was topnotch. Bread pudding was good, but I've had better. I would go again for the soup alone.

OMG, I went for the first time with my husband and it was a truly amazing experience. The atmosphere at the place is wonderful. The food is unbelievable, and the service extraordinary. We went for brunch, a a jazz group was playing table to table, and they were so friendly, and so good that made our brunch magical. I can't... More
