Description: Since our 1967 opening as a sister restaurant to the world-famous Commander's Palace in New Orleans, Brennan's of Houston has evolved into the city's premier destination for memorable dining served with true Southern hospitality. From the reservationist to the waiters, chefs and every associate behind the scenes, our team is focused on the highest standard of excellence and equally dedicated to creating enduring memories of snapshots in time: the sealing of business deals, wedding proposals, joyful celebrations, and the marking of significant milestones along life's way. And the proof is in the (bread) pudding, with loyal patrons returning time and again to create new memories.Reflecting the same warmth as our friendly greeting, each farewell concludes with Brennan's signature lagniappe: an abundance of unforgettably fresh pecan pralines.

We are big fans of both the Houston and New Orleans locations of this wonderful restaurant. From the reservation staff to the wait staff everyone treats you like a real guest for a special occasion. The food quality, preparation and timely delivery is outstanding and excellent. The specials are always the freshest local ingredients.

Found this restaurant in Food Lovers Guide to Houston. It was a great experience. Creole kitchen with european standard service. Felix made us wonderful Banana Fosters at the table. Everything we ate had deep flavours and was very tasty.

We arrived for dinner early and were shown to the cocktail lounge which has a lovely view of their courtyard. There, we enjoyed perfectly made martinis before our dinner. Shortly, we were escorted to our table and had the most wonderful meal. I started with a beautifully seasoned crab cake, which was one of the specials that evening. It was... More

We were invited to participate in the Kitchen Table which is a dining experience where you get to sit in a table off the kitchen. It includes a chef's selection of courses (we had five) which were phenomenal. You also get a tour of kitchen and restaurant with lots of great stories and backstage information. The staff was very nice... More

Tried this place on a recommendation of a friend and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is on our top five restaurant meals of all time for us. The food was fantastic, the wine list was very well matched to the menu and the service, as provided by Francisco, couldn't be beat. We're definitely going back.

We recently celebrated a good health outcome for one of our friends who visited Houston's medical center with brunch at Brennan's. The perfect meal was had by all! We caught them in the middle of Restaurant Week, so we had extra specials from which to choose on their fixed price brunch menu. I went for the Nawlins classics: turtle soup,... More

Brennan's is a Southern original. Best creole influenced food, in a great setting, with knowledgeable professional waitstaff. Their gulf snapper is a must, but in reality everything I've had here is excellent and consistently prepared perfectly. If you're visiting Houston and have to pick one place, this is one of the tops in Houston. It's just south of downtown, so... More

Mom lives in Houston with my sister and her family. My sister chose Brennans because of the New Orleans style and menu. It was an excellent choice. First, let me say that Brennans of Houston has a dress code. They won't seat people wearing flip-flops, beach wear or athletic wear. They like the business casual look. That was fine. Valet... More

Overall, disappointing! We went to enjoy brunch, and the entrees of Eggs Brennan and soft shell crab were only marginally acceptable. The crab itself was large and full of meat; however, the prep (using some unknown coating) left me almost in tears. It was crunchy to a fault and tasteless. My guest started with turtle soup, and she claimed it... More

Brennens is a Houston institution and I was so glad of its come back after Hurrican Ike destroyed it a few years ago. I haven't had the chance of dinner there lastly but have experienced their lunch several times the food is alway impeccable and the service shines.
