Less Costly option across from the Four Seasons

Great seafood, fairly intimate setting, quiet in comparison to other more popular Houston restaurants, good service, and very reasonable.

We made a reservation for 8 persons, however they didn't prepare the table in advance. We were placed somewhere in the back at a huge square table for 16. The table was soo large that any conversations would be impossible. There were still other places free so we convinced them to put two normal size tables together. The food was... More

The salmon filet on bed of spinach was outstanding. We went on a night when they offered half price off any bottle of wine. Not sure how often that happens but it was awesome! We had to ask three times for bread, but when it arrived it was awesome! Many different types of interesting rolls and breads. Our waiter did... More

Efficient but not friendly service--felt rushes but restaurant was not packed. Very good seafood. We had gulf snapper and shrimp--very good but nothing special. Very convent in downtown Houston.

The food was mediocre but the setting and staff was very friendly. The choices are not for anyone looking for healthy options. However we enjoyed our meal because our waiter was wonderful and never rushed us.well located across the street from the Four Seasons.

My company had our Christmas lunch and another event there today. I like the place but our lunch was terrible..keep in mind it was a fixed menu but I have looked at the menu and notice they have totally made over to lean more towards creole, which I don't like at all. I didn't even see a filet mignon on... More

We were there at 6:45 on a Friday night, and had the place to ourselves. Great food and service, with a little local feeling. Not overly expensive ($100) for two which included one round of drinks and desert.

We ate her to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. We were both pleased. Started off with the appetizer sampler and all the items tasted great. The entrees came out quickly. I had the shrimp and grits. I was a little worried the portion size would be small but it was better than I expected. I like to eat so... More

We chose Massa's based on Trip Advisor reviews and the fact it was across the street from our hotel. The food was very good--I had trout and my husband had shrimp, though he was happy to find they did have a steak that evening. The ambience was nice and quiet, so we could converse comfortably. I would go back again.

Was entertained by client in downtown Houston and was treated to great service and exceptional food. One of our colleagues wanted a gluten free preparation and the manager was not sure he could accommodate the request. The chef personally prepared the lady's dish and manager reported the same. This exceptional service and the manner in which the issue was handled... More
