We were there at 6:45 on a Friday night, and had the place to ourselves. Great food and service, with a little local feeling. Not overly expensive ($100) for two which included one round of drinks and desert.

We ate her to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. We were both pleased. Started off with the appetizer sampler and all the items tasted great. The entrees came out quickly. I had the shrimp and grits. I was a little worried the portion size would be small but it was better than I expected. I like to eat so... More

We chose Massa's based on Trip Advisor reviews and the fact it was across the street from our hotel. The food was very good--I had trout and my husband had shrimp, though he was happy to find they did have a steak that evening. The ambience was nice and quiet, so we could converse comfortably. I would go back again.

Was entertained by client in downtown Houston and was treated to great service and exceptional food. One of our colleagues wanted a gluten free preparation and the manager was not sure he could accommodate the request. The chef personally prepared the lady's dish and manager reported the same. This exceptional service and the manner in which the issue was handled... More

Very good seafood restaurant that offered a variety of dishes that were very good. Great wine menu, not too noisy and seated us right on time. Soup was very good and the crab pieces amazingly big. Waiter was friendly and service good. This restaurant is an easy walk from the convention center and the Hilton. I had red snapper and... More

Short walk from the convention center. Great service. Both gumbo and bisque were delicious. Shrimp and grits were very filling and wonderful. Seafood pasta was good. The atmosphere was laid back and wonderful quiet.

Classy restaurant without the hefty prices. Great seafood. Nobody in our party tried the steak. We had redfish, salmon, and catfish and it was all delicious. The lobster bisque is excellent as well.

Quiet in the evenings -- and on open table for reservations -- and great atmosphere, great wine choices, and excellent food. The crawfish chowder and crab cakes were superb. The Cajun shrimp and grits were great as well. Would return.

You can never go wrong here at lunch. Attentive service, consistent waitstaff. Food is always well prepared and always comes out hot. I would say that the price are a bit high. An average lunch with entre and a drink other than water will cost you $25-$28 all in. I use for business lunches but to pay for an everyday... More

Food was great - seafood is my favorite. Restaurant was quiet and not too busy for a late in the week evening. Staff was flawless and attentive. Within walking distance to several hotels (across from Four Seasons) . . . close to Embassy Suites and Hilton Americas Hotel. Nice back room for larger groups to enjoy.
