Great location for pre-concert dinner

Having tickets to a symphony concert at Jones Hall, I did some research and found a number of restaurants in the vicintity for dinner beforehand. Finally settled on Birraporetti's, which turned out to be a great choice! Only a block and a half easy walk from Jones Hall, and there is a parking... read more

I did not enjoy this place at all for a few reasons. One reason is they argued with us about the Groupon deal. Another reason is the food itself is just not good. The food was cold with not many options. I have been to some excellent places for brunch in Houston and this is not one of them.

The atmosphere was cozy. The buffet spread was amazing- from salad to all the good meat and pasta to the regular breakfast items, and omelette cooked in front of you. Of course for the sweet tooth folks, enjoy the dessert table. It was our first time, didn't know which beverages were included. Just had to ask. Our waiter, Bing, was... More

We ate here the other night before a symphony performance and it was mostly good, but not at all as nice as I remember. I ate her a middle school-er and was very wowed by how fancy and delicious it was. I ate here several times in the 1990s and early 2000s before or after attending fine art performances and... More

Outstanding service by Nena, she was attentive but not annoying. Took a little longer than expected to get our food (lunch) but it was worth the wait. Restaurant was nice but the bathroom could use an update. Location was convenient for a day of site seeing downtown.

Enjoyed a good meal here. The traditional lasagna was delicious. Pay extra for bread or breadsticks which was disappointing. The prices were high I felt. The best part was the crem brulee!, it was so good!! Topped it off with a hot Irish coffee drink. I would go back but maybe only a special occasion. Did not have the best... More

Food was awesome and the service was excellent. Dining area was a little crowded. I was disappointed that with reservations at 5:00 pm that when we tried to order dessert we were told that they were sold out of crème brulee.

Don't get me wrong, not bad, but not that good either. Think a step above Olive Garden. Nice wait staff and the interior of the restaurant was nice.

We eat at Birraporetti's frequently before or after the theater. We have never had a bad meal and service is generally good. They offer traditional good Italian food in large portions. Make reservations or be there before 6:00 PM on a theater night since they are always full. There is plenty of parking in the area and the restaurant is... More
