Best before or after opera

We have tried other places in the area, and this has become our favorite for before or after opera food. Service has always been sensitive to the neighborhood, which is basically the "theatre" crowd. Food better than average.

Started out great drinks, entrée and then we order dessert crème brûlée but then we don't see our waiter for 20 minutes! Look around and all of the tables around us are also looking around for him they we going to the same concert but hadn't even begun their meal. Finally we see him and he brings our dessert and... We're season subscribers for two production companies at the Hobby Center. Our usual tickets are on weeknights, but this past week we had to exchange them for a Saturday night and our standby Thai place was closed. So we decided to take advantage of the $20 coupon that came with one of our ticket packages and try Birraporetti's. It bills... More

This place has been around for years. The service is consistently good and the prices are reasonable. The mushroom appetizer is fantastic. This place is perfect for before theater dining and also fun after the show. The Sunday brunch is very popular so make reservations.

We recently tried one of their Mystery Dinner shows and overall we had a good time. Logistics hung everything up for a while. More guests than were anticipated I guess. We were supposed to eat 8pm but they were still trying to set up enough tables to handle the crowd. We finally got to eat buffet style around 9pm. The... More

Great place to grab a drink or some food after attending the symphony or play or such. A very easy walk from the theater district. The food was excellent and service was prompt and attentive. If live music isn't your thing, ask to be seated at the back of the restaurant where it's a little quieter.

Had a really fantastic brunch last Sunday. The omelettes are spectacular as is the sliced ham. I didn't try any of the non-breakfast items, but they had at least 8 different dinner menu items sitting out to choose from. Our waiter was perfect; just the right amount of attention. Lots of fruit, some nice waffles, and there's also pizza and... More

We decided to eat here after a show. After all it's in the playbill stating the place to go after a show. Yeah not so much. We walked to the restaurant after our show ended. Arrived to be greeted by no one. The manager (we think) blew past us without a word. We stood waiting to be seated for 15... More

Despite the estimated 45 mins to 1 hour for delivery, our pizza came very quickly - in about 30 mins. The smaller pizza was estimated for 2 people, and it was plenty unless you are super hungry. It had a nice fluffy but not too thick crust. Of course everything is usually better fresh out of the oven, so as... More

My adult daughter and I arrived early to eat before a performance at the Hobby Center, there were few guests there when we arrived, by the time we left the place was packed. We ordered from the Playbill Menu, neither of us cared for the sauce on the lobster ravioli, the bacon wrapped shrimp were delicious, crab cakes average. We... More
