Highly recommend you make a reservation as it gets packed prior to a nearby show. The three-course "Act 1" special is a good bargain. Wine prices reasonable by the glass. My only criticism is that my lobster ravioli needed more sauce. It was extremely busy and I think they may have sat under the lights for a moment. More sauce... More

My go-to place for after symphony or other events in town. Saturday night check if Danette McMahon will be there singing - she has a wonderful voice.

I eat there everytime I come from ARKANSAS to attend the opera. I love their many selections and over the years probably have tried them all. On my last visit I had Tres Leches for dessert. It was unbelievably - only a Latin chef can make it taste that good. After the opera we went back in for a drink... More

I was visiting Houston for the International Quilt Festival and had the bell captain make a reservation for dinner at 6:30pm. We took the hotel shuttle to the restaurant arriving at 6:25pm. The hostess told us we were early and asked if we could wait in the bar. We found the bar absolutely jammed with other patrons awaiting their tables.... More

We ate here before the play we were attending. They were courteous and prompt with our order. Being mindful of our time constraints. Great place for a fancy meal at reasonabl prices.

Had dinner and drinks and was very dissapointed. The service was terrible. The waitress kept bringing our entrees way before we completed the current course. Seemed as if they were trying to rush us but the place was almost empty and it was about 7:30PM. The escargot was OK, the salads were not good and the dressing was not good.... More

We chose Birraporetti's as the site of the Sunday brunch for a group of family and friends, which was held the day after our daughter's wedding. The maitre d' (Bing) worked with us in advance to ensure that the restaurant could easily handle our group. The buffet selections were quite extensive, and we were pleased with the variety. Our guests... More

Within walking distance of downtown theater and music venues. Service was good, the food is OK but just average Italian fare. Menu and recipes could use an update.
