Delicious!

First time to this restaurant and we went right as they opened. I had the Gandalf "slim" which is supposed to be smaller but was two meals for me. There wasn't much turkey - one slice only which surprised me as there was an abundance of avacado. But, it was delicious! The fellas ordered burgers... read more

I found this restaurant on Trip Advisor and was intrigued by the fact that they have an extensive non-meat menu selection. We came in on a Sunday evening and there was a bit of a wait. Tables were available, but they were short on staff. We were eventually seated. Our waiter arrived relatively promptly and took our order. The food... More

Our friends suggested this cafe and it was delish and healthy. It was busy and off the beaten path but totally worth it. If your a hobbit or Lord of the rings fan this cafe is a must!!

Based on previous reviews we went between lunch and dinner 4 lunch. My son had a Gandalf and he loved it! He never have had raw mushrooms before but there was so much avocado (my guess about a whole medium one) that it didn't matter :) it was very good! Lamb burger excellent, tuna salad really good too. Abundant portions!... More

A large group of us visited for lunch - small cafe tucked in an old neighborhood - it had been almost 10 years since I was here last - not many changes. It is a converted house with wooden, floors mix / match chairs and tables with a covered patio. It shares the parking lot with 3 other small restaurants... More

I recently had the opportunity to visit the Hobbit Cafe for lunch; once with a group of 13 on a Friday & once with my husband on a Tuesday. The cafe is just like it sounds: renovated 1920's house with 3 rooms with wooden tables and chairs & a large patio with plastic tables and chairs. The eclectic menu is... More

The Hobbit Cafe is one of the few restaurants I have been back to several times. With over 6,000 restaurants in Houston there is usually no reason to go back to the same one over again, but I really like this place. It's quaint and different. All the food, wine and beer are delicious. It's a relaxed, casual atmosphere with... More

Visited this establishment twice while I stayed in Houston for three days. Both times the food and service were excellent. It is a little difficult finding parking during peak hours.

If it wasn't for the unique atmosphere, this place would not be worth a visit. The service was just okay and the food wasn't anything special. Don't bother with the nachos or buffalo burger. The pancakes are the best thing I've tried. The fries don't taste fresh at all. And half of our table was done with their meal before... More

We eat here regulary when we're in the Houston area. My granddaughter enjoys the Hobbit decorations and the vegetarians among us have some good menu options
