I always enjoy coming to this place. The staff are very accommodating, and pays attention to the customers' needs. My friend made reservation to make sure we have a table at the time that we planned to have our brunch, since we were celebrating my daughter's engagement, this is just girls day. We did, great spot too, our group had... More

Friends invited us to this café because it is their favorite and we could see why. The Southern influenced menu was fantastic. The portions were really hearty and the food was delicious. We had eaten a big lunch and so my husband and I split a salad and an entrée and it was just the right amount. Fried Green Tomato... More

I had not bee to Backstreet for many years but remembered enjoying it. When my husband suggested it for my birthday I thought why not. I am so glad I listened. The menu is adventurous and seasonal. We wanted one of everything and it's good to take home. The severs were polite and not overbearing. For all those who have... More

Wonderful business dinner for 12 of us. Herty drinks, tasty food and nice porch and country inn atmosphere without being hokey.

The food at this restaurant is quite imaginative. My fellow diners were very happy with the portion size and they said their food was tasty. Quite good value for money and a good wine selection. I had the duck which was very tasty however my crabcakes were lukewarm. However, I could not entertain the idea of ever returning to this... More

I ate here based on a Chef's recommendation. The restaurant is small so reservations are a good idea. We started with some crab cakes and chicken satay. They were both delicious. The chicken was so tender and full of flavor. The peanut sauce wasn't the best but still good. I had the filet in the chipotle bourbon sauce and it... More

We sat outside and enjoyed the delicious crab cakes. The service was very good even though they were very busy.

I have been eating here since they opened in 1983. They have evolved into much better food and atmosphere. The location is a bit of a challenge, I recommend you valet park. I have had great food and NOT so great food, I have had good service and NOT so good service and what always brings me back is their... More

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Houston. The food is delicious and portions are a reasonable size. They have a good selection of vegetarian items as well. I've always been pleased with the service, even when the restaurant is full. The restaurant is located In an old house. If you have trouble climbing stairs, ask for a first... More

This place is very cozy, perfect for an intimate night out. Their patio backyard is very lovely, can't wait until the weather is warmer to sit outside. I order the steam mussel with grilled bread, the oyster chowder, and the grilled salmon with zucchini salad, pine nuts, and parmesan. The service was excellent, and will come again.
