Late night dinner was very good.

I was traveling through downtown Houston late this Tuesday. Stopped in and they sat me minutes before closing. I didn't feel rushed. Service excellent. Steak with mushrooms was very tast .

This was an unfortunate meal before an evening at the Wortham Theater. I want to say that the waiter was accommodating and very nice; we now go downhill. The restaurant is dark and very 1970's, badly needs a update to make it pleasant and inviting. The food was not good, there were 3 of us and not one of us... More

Yesterday was our first time for dining at Damian's and we will definitely return! The setting is quaint and inviting with the feeling of old Italy. The wine selection was broad and so was the menu. When asked, the wait staff offered suggestions on their favorite dishes and we took it from there. DON'T pass on the Cesar salad. It... More

Impeccable service and over the top accommodations by the Chef. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Not on the menu, customize entrée made just for me - Veal ravioli with Marsala wine mushroom sauce. Delicious, I hope they consider adding this to their menu. I actually had the manager stop buy my table and say he was amazed when he... More

Damian's table-side Cesar is a reason in itself to come here! Our family travels extensively and we rank Cesar salads into 3 categories; traditional, decomposition and colloquial. In our Traditional category, Damian's ranks first in the world with second place to the mount Nelson Hotel in Cape Town South Africa. It wins the city wide contest in Houston almost every... More

i've been going to Damiens since I moved to Houston in 1990. I've never been disappointed in the quality of the meal, the freshness of the ingredients, the perfectly cooked pastas, and the exceptional service. For some reason I hadn't been there in over two years and I corrected that last week. For some, lasagna may seem pedestrian, but at... More

I've been to Damian's a couple of times before, and it never disappoints. The service is always good and the food better. It has a very good wine list, full of Italian wines from all over Italy. The menu is extensive and features traditional Italian pasta favorites, along with fish dishes and steaks. I ate there recently and enjoyed a... More

Damian's is a Gem with wonderful dishes - presented perfectly. The service is amazing and most accommodating. The wine list complete. I have been coming here for years and every time it is perfect. Their shuttle to the theater - Hobby or Jones is just another plus. Consistent great food and service is what makes them soooo good.

My husband and I have enjoyed dining at Houston's Damian's Cucina Italiana for over 20 years. Everything is 5-star from the starting with your reservation experience. From the moment you valet park your car, to your welcome, the ambiance, service and authentic Italian cuisine combined with interesting daily specials to finishing your meal with a wonderful dessert, cappuccino or espresso-... Damian's has a longstanding reputation as one of Houston's fine Italian eateries, but our latest experience was disappointing. Service was spotty with the server seemingly deciding for us whether we should study the full wine list or just select from the limited by-the-glass selection in the menu. The Campari & soda cocktails were light on Campari; the formerly noteworthy crusty... More
