We enjoyed our trip for New Year's eve, but were disappointed as the usually great service was not up to standard and the meal was simply average. The bread basket was the first sign that things were unpredictable as it was filled with cold bread rather than the usual crafted bread selection. The price fix menu jacked up the price... More

First of all we have been going to Damians for over 20 years and have always thought of it as Top Notch. Last Night was a completely different experience. We made reservations for Friday Evening December 19 for our Party of ten way back in September. We arrived 15 minutes early for our reservation only to find out that Damians... More

This is one of Houston's mainstays when it comes to classic Italian dining. Located in the heart of the city's Fourth Ward, Damian's Old World setting is the perfect venue for a perfect meal. The lobster bisque in a sourdough bowl is unbeatable and the entrees are always up to expectations. From the crusty bread and olive oil at the... More

I stopped in Damians for dinner recently when I was in Houston because I wanted some good Italian food. My overall impression is that while it is not a bad restaurant, it is not really what I would call authentic Italian. It is more like Texas Italian. The food was not bad, a little salty, but overall not bad. Its... More

We picked this restaurant due to the shuttle to the theatre district and free valet. This was my first time here, the restaurant is nice and service was great but the dish I ordered was awful. I ordered the linguine with shrimp. the pasta was extremely salty and the shrimp did not taste fresh. Not sure if it was because... More

Great restaurant in all regards. Service, ambience, menu, wine list, quality of food preparation, on and on and on. Damian's remembers and specializes in the restaurant experience that our parents and grandparents would remember on those few times they could visit a restaurant of this quality. The focus is on the customer at all times. The staff is very professional,... More

Very good Italian restaurant, maybe the best in town. Service is very good. Every thing is so good, I order too much. This gets expensive. I may ask for a lot less garlic on my shrimp Damian next time.

My mother, boyfriend, and I were looking for an Italian restaurant for a celebratory evening, and a friend recommended Damian's. What a find! Complementary valet made parking in the neighborhood a non-issue (big plus for Houston), and when we walked in we felt like we had entered another (much more serene) world. Décor is very traditional and warm. Staff was... More

I read good reviews before going, but still was unexpectedly surprised. This place is great. The atmosphere is old school, the service is superb and the food was spectacular. We saw another table ordering a Caesar salad (not on menu). My daughter had never experienced having the waiter make it at the table,so we ordered. It was fantastic. The pasta... More

Our waiter was friendly, helpful and went above the ordinary in service to our group of four. We were served fresh focaccia & dipping sauce shortly after being seated. Despite each couple splitting the fabulous lobster bisque, we each got our serving in its own bread bowl. Our friends shared their entrees and each was split and served to them... More
