Description: We take great pride in serving what we think is some of the best food on the Gulf Coast. Everything is homemade fresh in our kitchen daily. Many of our dishes are our Mama's recipes. With my basic training from Mama, I've gone on to create a sizable repertoire of recipes of my own. God Bless Mama and God Bless you for your patronage. “Dedicated to the preservation of the art of our Mamas' Cooking.” Sincerely, Tony & Phyllis Mandola

We ate here yesterday to celebrate Mother's Day with our my and my husband's mother. They were extremely busy. The atmosphere is fun and lively; it was noisy but we were able to easily hear one another despite sitting at a table for 7. The food was good but not great. The salads that come with the meal are quite... More

We had heard so many good things about this restaurant that we were looking forward to trying it, only to be very disappointed. First, this is truly one of the noisiest restaurants in Houston, at least in the main dining room. Its high ceilings, glass walls, tile floors and energetic patrons all contribute to making for an evening of having... More

We picked this restaurant for our dad's 79th birthday, as we knew it would be the perfect place when he requested seafood. Every dish was wonderful -- the Alaskan halibut special, the crawfish ravioli, the blackened catfish étouffée with crab salad. We have loved Tony Mandolas for years, but had not been to the new location on Waugh. Mr. Tony... More

A friend who has lived and dined in Houston for over 20 years chose this as his favorite restaurant for recent birthday dinner. We started with oysters (huge) on half shell. My husband and I split the Red Gulf snapper. Service was friendly and attentive but not obtrusive. The split meal served on separate plates attractively arranged with sides (broccoli... More

My wife and I have been eating at Tony Mandola’s since their location on W. Grey, then a temporary stop on Westheimer and now their new location on Waugh Drive - and the food continues to be excellent no matter where the kitchen is located!. We almost always sit at the bar and order their 2+2+2 oysters and Cajun salad.... More

The seafood is prepared in several fashions....fried, blackened, or in creative sauces. Try the Snapper Decadent....in a brown butter sauce topped with crab meat and oysters

Four entrees of seafood and all delicious. Particularly liked the Poblano stuffed with shrimp and crab with a side of angel hair pasta. Have not lost a step in either quality of food or service since moving to their new location. Lovely outdoor patio

Excellent seafood restaurant. Went to the old location for years. This one is newer and nicer, but the food is still good. Italian, Creole and little Cajun seafood dishes

I routinely meet people for business lunches. Tony Mandola's is a superb place for this type of occasion. First, the food is always excellent and second, the atmosphere is perfect for a business lunch. Both the decor and clientel are upscale and attractive, but more improtantly the noise level is low enough to have a good conversation, but loud enough... More

For years Tony Mandola's and Tony himself have welcomed my family or me alone to his lovely restaurant on West Gray. Whether dining on the patio or inside the restaurant, the atmosphere felt like home. The waiters remembered you, the food was always exceptional, and they offered almost everything on the menu in half orders. I've heard people say it's... More
