Spring lunch date

Beautiful Spring day, what a great place to go for lunch. Niko's has a variety of dining options. We enjoyed sitting outside at a shady table in the cooler April weather. You go to the counter to order, and a pager calls you for order pick up when it's ready. The menu is huge, everthing is great... read more

I love the lemony potatoes, but the lamb was greasy. The frozen mango drinks were good on a hot summer day. The hummus has so much garlic in it, it burned my mouth. I'd heard about this place forever so we had to try it. The parking is a nightmare if you try to go during close-to-peak times. All in... More

Food was good. Visiting Texas, wasn't sure what to expect, nice experience. Very busy restaurant. Ordered a Gyro and Tiropita (cheese filo pie) for dinner and some cookies (melomakarona & koulourakia with chocolate). Gyro was good, Tiropita was fair (was not a fan of the cheese blend they used) but the cookies were excellent. Enjoyed the patio area.

I've been going to Niko's Niko's for over 35 years. I first went there when I was in college. It was started by the mom& pop . They repurposed a gas station to a walk up counter to place an order. Then they expanded by adding a fruit & vegetable open market. Then they enclosed the area for seating. The... More

Went to this restaurant for dinner and found it to be ok but was not wowed. Long lines, service to get food was slow possibly due to the volume of people waiting in line to be served. Felt prices were high for the quality.

I absolutely love this place the food is so good I had the lamb shank dinner with rice and salad. The salad is wonderful. They have great potatoes and fries! The Gyros are good. If you are visiting Houston this is a must visit place. You will not be disappointed But be prepared to wait in line, there is always... More

I don't think of this as a greek place - it's more eclectic.. I go for the lunch special. For $10 you get a salad, entree and desert. The caesar salad is really nice and fresh. For entrees there are three choices; usually a pasta, a shrimp/lobster taco and a fish of the day. The taco is rolled in a... More

Houston has thousands of restaurants with just about every ethnic food represented somewhere in town. Many of these ethnic restaurants seem to have its own showcase establishment- a restaurant that signifies what that specific type of food is about and that Houston residents recognize immediately as a leader in its class. A good example on the Greek front is Niko... More

Niko Niko's is an unusual restaurant. You order by standing in a line at the counter (there's always a line). Then you walk back to the counter to get your salad. Then you walk back to the counter to get your main course. The food is excellent and the wine is cheap. Try the lamb shank.

Baby lamb shank was awesome . . . 2 shanks so you could share. Gyro was hood but not amazing. Pitas seemed mass market. Shrimp po boy was delicious but lots of bread to shrimp ratio. If I could get just the shrimp I would. The honey balls were hands down amazing! Consider a half order if you have less... More
