1st visit. Went on a Sunday , had the pasta bowl special with the bean soup. Very tasty. Very busy around 1pm, but tapered off pretty quickly. Indulge in a slab of one of their cakes you see in the order line.

I found this restaurant thanks to tripadvisor and the helpful reviews! I'm adding my positive review to the mix. We were in Houston for three days and we ate breakfast at the Empire all 3 mornings. It was never crowded as it was not the weekend. You take a menu, decide what you want to eat and order at the... More

Thi8s place has it all. From brekfast to lunch to dinner, lotsa beers, an open patio which is very spatious and with a lot of people. The queue is long but it moves fast. Very cool place.

Another strange place the kids dragged us to during our visit. No table service but the meal is delivered. Order at the front and it comes quick enough. Coffee comes with a cookie! The food was very good. But the place is packed on the weekend.

I come sometimes for Sunday brunch (even rode my bike in the rain with 2 others once) and come for lunch. They have good salads with complicated stuff on them. Love complicated salads. The fritatas and their version of eggs benedict are favorites. For lunch though they have an entry special that is chicken stuffed with spinach and prosciutto with... More

Recently my boyfriend and I came to Houston to visit some friends. Happened to stumble across this place while doing a Google search and decided to give it a try. We had their pizza and it was amazing...possibly one of the best I've ever had. Definitely would go back!!

Nice place with outside seating, many different coffees, Had a great western style omelet. The fried potatoes were red potatoes that were grilled and season, they alone were worth the trip. Recommended if you are in North Houston for breakfast or lunch

Nestled among the antique stores on Westheimer west of Shepherd is a quaint little almost nondescript cafe which is easy to pass by. The outside patio is nestled with greenery. There is adequate parking behind the cafe which is nice. This place is as local as local can get. The meals are inexpensive & delicious. Their cake slices are huge... More
