We were out shopping on Westheimer and happened upon Paulie's after looking it up on tripadvisor. We had to wait 15 minutes for a table, but we didn't mind. there were 4 of us, and we ordered the following: One ordered the Caesar Salad with chicken---which was crispy, and fresh. One ordered the rigatoni--which was so good ( we all... More

I love this cafe in Houston with a great variety of Italian dishes and hand made pasta. The dishes are huge so unless you want some to take home you can order a half serving and have plenty. They have all kinds of wonderful drinks and fresh iced tea and lemonade. Order at the counter and then pick up and... More

We had a great lunch here on Saturday afternoon. The weather was nice so we sat at one of the few outdoor tables. There was a bit of traffic going by so the street noise level was above average. Otherwise this was a great choice. We each ordered a sandwich, my husband had the Italian hoagie and I had a... More

This might not be a great place but it is VERY good and in a really good location. Lunch with friends - you can always count on quality and good service. I travel to Houston 2 or 3 times a year and make it a point to stop by for lunch.

We stopped at Paulie's on a recent trip to Houston. It was recommended by a local for a good, reasonably priced lunch. The food was really good and the cookies were great. Ordering is done at the counter, and you are called when the food has been prepared. The counter service was really good. If you are looking for table... More

Great selection of foods at reasonable prices. Salads are super good. Large salads are like $8 or $9. Large is not a good description. They are HUGE!!! Awesomely good. Heard their poorboy's are even better. They have cucumber water...yummy. I had the family Italian salad....excellent salad. The staff was wonderful. We ordered at the counter. We got there right at... More

We found Paulie's last year on our trip to Houston and returned this year intent on going back to the same restaurant. I had the grilled vegetables and my hubby had a pasta (restaurant made pasta) dish. Amazing!! The wait was indicative of a popular restaurant. We love the reasonable prices, the menu variety, and the diverse crowd.

Our AirBnB host recommended Paulie's for lunch. I had a yummy goat cheese & veggie sandwich with some nicely spiced gazpacho. You order at the counter and your meal is brought to you. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to some dietary requests we had.

I would NOT recommend this restaurant. They have a very customer UNFRIENDLY POLICY of not letting you return food if it is cooked incorrectly and doesn't taste appealing. You bought it, YOU EAT IT!! In all of my dining experiences have I never experienced this policy, very strange ethics. DO NOT EAT HERE!!! Everyone I told can't believe this non-return... More
