This place is a favorite from long ago that I have not visited in a while. My wife recently went there for a business lunch and raved about it so much that we had to go back for dinner. The halibut was excellent, and their three pepper soup has always been a favorite of mine. This is a grsat place... More

The soft shell crabs had my brother-in-law calling this the "finest culinary experience of his entire life".

This is a nice Italian restaurant near Rice. The restaurant is fairly upscale in a nice shopping district. We attend dinner with a boys volleyball team, so there were 19 of us. The restaurant could not have been more accommodating. The waiter was very pleasant and even allowed separate checks. The rockfish special entree was perfect. Everyone was pleased except... More

Good Italian, fresh pasta, very good cappresse salad, good wine list. Perfect place for relaxing Sunday evening dinner with friends. I would definitely go back.

We tried Prego for Sunday Brunch to avoid the crowds. The food & service are always excellent and were able to walk right in without reservations. It was like a transporting to a quiet, neighborhood Roman bistro. Everything was perfect: from the home made Lemoncella, to the wonderful food and home made blackberry cobbler, ending with two excellent cappuccinos from... More

We've gone to this restaurant several times over the years and it's always been very good, and sometimes great. It's consistent, and its management keeps things running well. Our visit yesterday was at prime time (7PM) and when it's crowded, as others note, it can be noisy. Our booth near the front was not bad, but other locations, like a... More

We visited Prego recently to celebrate our anniversary. The other reviews we read on TA didn't hint at the roar of this restaurant, so we were quite surprised when we open the front door. This was not the atmosphere we were looking for after a busy day, but we stuck it out. So glad we did because the food really... More

I can't add much to the already great reviews posted here other than to say that the very few mediocre reviews may be folks who had anomalous experiences or caught Prego on an off night; and perhaps some just didn't like it. I get that too. However, I just loved this place, from the moment I walked in to the... More

You won't find the usual spaghetti, ravioli and lasagna on this menu. They are there, but the ingredients aren't the norm. I chose ravioli stuffed with a mixture of beef, mushrooms and cheese, covered with a delicious sauce. What a gastronomical delight! The wait staff were friendly and efficient and there were plenty of them. This is a restaurant you... More
