Very crowded and noisy with average food

We were at a meeting at Rice and picked this place based upon reviews. It was very crowded but the agreed to fit us in. Shoehorn is perhaps a better term. We wound up sitting right in the aisle that all the servers and customers walk through and it was not the most comfortable setting. Still, if... read more

The food here was great! As an app, I got the Caprese salad - it had exactly the right amount of spice with it - some sort of dressing - it was delicious! I ordered the Ravioli - phenomenal as well - not to mention the bread and olive oil. The olive oil did have raw garlic in it -... More

This was our second time dining at Prego. The first time was great! Tonight our waiter could not remember our order and several dishes were not correct.. The wait time from salads to entrees was way too long- over an hour. My husband wanted to go here to get a specific dish that after ordering it, was told it was... More

But if you can't be Italian, then eat Italian. At Prego. I have been eating there for thousands of years, and have never had a meal that wasn't great. Try the veal, the pasta dishes made from scratch, or the fish. And don't forget the appetizers and salads. Everything on the menu is great. The wine list changes a lot,... More

We recently enjoyed dinner with friends at Prego Italian Cuisine restaurant. Our waiter gave us excellent service, very attentive. I would describe the setting as intimate but not crowded. Three of the 4 of us had the pumpkin crusted red snapper with butternut squash which was delicious! Their Mista salad was a good addition to our meal. I would certainly... More

I reserved the Wine Room for a private dinner for 6 people. Hidden behind the kitchen. Great location, wide choice of wines and food, top notch service. Room could probably fit 10, but 6 worked well.

This little Italian restaurant has been a favorite of ours for five years. The ambience is elegant and welcoming. There is a nice bar in a corner of the restaurant. We've tried the veal, fish, pasta, and desserts. All were excellent. The veal is tender, the fish is fresh, and the pasta is properly al dente. Price is more than... More

Recommended by the shuttle driver from the holiday inn express. Great choice. Nice building and comfortable seating. Overall dining experience was great. Menu had an amazing wine selection. I had the salmon. Done perfectly for me. I would go again and if your looking for a bit of shopping there's lots to see immediately around it you can walk to... More

Ordered Prego to go based on the strength of the menu. Fed my entire family at the hospital with classic but tastefully updated Italian. I will be back when I return to Houston.

Looks like neighborhood dining place except the prices are very high. a very nice location. And a very happy place if you like noisy surroundings. If you want a quiet dinner stay away. The décor is very dated. The metallic looking ceiling tiles are stained with brown water leak sin many places. The waiters are always in a hurry and... More
