It was a cold night in December when we visited this restaurant. We had driven a long way because we like Mediteranean and Middle Eastern food. On arrival we were seated but immediately could smell smoke from a number of customers who were smoking from hookas inside the restaurant. As we were within Houston City we were surprised to find... Bad Service Ruins Good Food...The first time my husband and I came here the service was bad, but we deiced to give it another chance becuase the food was pretty good. However, we probably won't be coming back. The bread was hard as a rock so we asked our waitress for fresh bread. Out of nowhere someone from the kitchen... More

I'm glad I finally decided to try this place. I had eaten at La Carreta next door several times. This place has won me over. The pita bread is delicious. I believe they make it themselves. Also, the hummus is extraordinary. It's creamy and they top it with a very good quality olive oil from Palestine and some whole garbanzo... More

The maza appetizer sampler for four (don't miss the eggplant salad or spicy Turkish salad!) would have been enough for... More

Alaseel restaurant serves Palestinian countryside home cooking. They are very generous in their portions . I once ordered grape leaves meal it came with over 20 grape leaves and 3 stuffed squash. very delicious like my moms cooking. I had enough leftover for another person. A normal person could not finish half chicken mosakhan meal. They are very friendly and... More

I hesitate to return the place after experiencing smaller portion for the money I paid. I paid about $13 for whole musakhan chicken. It came less than the whole chicken. I hardly filled my stomach. I expect to have good portion size when I am paying over $10 bucks. Service was slow
