Good Food, Friendly Service

The food here is mostly good, just not great in my opinion. The service was actually the highlight, with friendly, attentive, knowledgeable wait staff and a very friendly chef. I found the wine selection good with generous pour, but pricey by the glass($12 to $15 ). I started with a goat cheese... read more

Having graduated with a degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management several years ago, my Restaurant Layout & Design class had the privilege of touring this restaurant as it was being built; getting a chance to talk with Jacques Fox and his staff about vision, goals, standards and expectations. It was a neat opportunity to see the restaurant being built, and... More

The service is outstanding! Each table has 2 or more staff to provide whatever is needed. The seafood dishes are well prepared with great sides. Wine selection is above par. Desserts offered cover a wide range of tastes. The prices are a bit high, but given the location they are justifiable. Enjoy a fine meal.

Artisan has a above average food with a great view of downtown Houston. Living here over the years has made me realize what a skyline we have. Truly remarkable location. Staff was wonderful and food was hot and freshly prepared. The price I paid was a more than average for me, mostly to the view. They have great selection of... More

This was booked at the last minute with little idea of what to expect. Upon entering and being seated at the kitchen bar we felt the evening would be a success. Attentive waiter and very knowledgeable about the wine. We had the tasting menu with wine pairings. All dishes were artfully presented and just the right amount to sate appetite... More

It has been a few months since my last visit to Artisan's. The latest visit did not disappoint. The service, atmosphere and food was excellent on all levels. If you can sit at the bar and watch the kitchen staff prepare each appetizer, entrée and dessert. It is a marvel and will bring a smile to your face. We ordered... More

I had known of Artisans for a while and knew Chef Jacques Fox from when he was the chef at our private club. Cannot explain why it took so long to get here but we did right after Christmas. From the greeting at the door to a seat with a great view of the presentation kitchen it all started off... More

One of the finest hotels in the town. The set menu started with soup du jour which was absolutely delicious. The entree was a chicken dish and was nothing less than awesome. The desert was a hazlenut and white chocoloate eclair which was messemerizing. Great ambience and excellent food.

My partner and I stumbled upon this place and were not disappointed. I had the carmelized steak which did not disappoint. The open kitchen added to the experience. It's a bit pricey but worth the experience!

I love this restaurant and plan on many return visits. Chef Jacques Fox was back in France for holidays but on this evening Randy Jones was fully in charge and was making sure that all the guests were enjoying their evening. My favorite appetizers are the Foie Gras and the Escagot and regarding the main dishes the foursome group that... More
