We enjoyed it again and came back with more people!

We went back for Restaurant Weeks again and brought five of our friends for a total of seven. Everyone enjoyed tthemselves and the food and service were superb. With Friday night traffic always a mystery, some of us arrived early, some right on time and some late. No problem, as our server told... read more

We had twenty or so in the back room, which was a perfect space. We had a pre planned seven course meal. Every course was amazing from the pan seared froe gras, to the pistachio crusted Chilean sea bass to the black pepper crusted beef tenderloin. No complaints.

Excellent lunch or dinner choice in Midtown. $29 3 course business lunch. Large circular 'bar' table allows foodies to watch the chefs at work. Excellent wine list and private rooms for business entertaining. Chef-owned and he is there greeting customers. Excellent choice for a business meal if you are downtown.

Hands down...fabulous! I can't imagine anyone saying anything negative about this restaurant. Chef Jacques' hospitality is unlike any chef I've met! He is warm, friendly and involved. He tended to every table...more than once! I love the open kitchen concept where you can see the artistry take place and view the preparation of the food. We indulged and ordered the... More

Artisans has a very cool decor, sort of modern but traditional, with lots of dark wood and etched glass paneling. A big circular bar that you can sit at and watch the chefs preparing the food behind it. (Although we took a table) A waitress in a severe tight fitting black suit, giving her a slightly dominatrix appearance. And then... More

Wonderful French food in an elegant yet not pretentious setting. I absolutely loved the open kitchen concept where you can sit at the U-shaped bar and watch them cook your food. I'm not sure if it's because it was relatively early or what, but my food came out incredibly quickly and was delicious. Risotto was creamy, and the lobster and... More

Was recently here for the fifth time - sometimes with large groups, sometimes with small. In the past, I would have rated it above average. This time there was something off. The charcuterie au poisson was heavy, salty, and one of the fish was undercooked. The wine list was not particularly interesting and they switched vintages on the wine I... More

This is a nice option if you like French food and wine. Dishes are mostly delicious and the chef is innovative. We sat side by side on the counter overlooking the open kitchen. It was fun! We had a great time and the restaurant is lively and has a great vibe. Mind you this is not a Michelin star or... More

My boyfriend and I love Artisans. Yes it may be a little pricy but it's so worth it. I would recommend sitting at the chefs table/bar by all the kitchen action! It's fun for couples. Some of my favorites are the tuna appetizer, the carrot soup, and the pepper crusted beef tenderloin is AMAZING!! The wait staff is also very... More

What a find! A piece of Paris, France in Houston, Texas! This is authentic French cuisine, with all the staff and training you'd expect from a top class spot. But this is a gem of a place, and by going here for dinner you'd save thousands on the airfare to Paris! The owner, Jacques, is a genuine Paris chef, and... More
