I love this restaurant and plan on many return visits. Chef Jacques Fox was back in France for holidays but on this evening Randy Jones was fully in charge and was making sure that all the guests were enjoying their evening. My favorite appetizers are the Foie Gras and the Escagot and regarding the main dishes the foursome group that... More

Ate here for a business dinner. Was literally knocked off my feet at the absolutely superb meal we had here. If artisans was in NYC you'd have to wait a month for a reservation. The atmosphere is very pleasant. We had a private dining room off the kitchen. Had the filet which was one of the finest I've ever had.... More

I went to Artisans on a girls night out and enjoyed it. I had their vegetable soup and roasted frenched chicken breast w/ lobster tail. For dessert we also tried their chocolate soufflé, chocolate mousse, raspberry macaroon, and cappuccino, vanilla, crème brûlée du Jour.

My wife and I love French Cuisine. Houston has some solid French restaurants and Artisans is definitely one of them. I've read many reviews on restaurants on tripadvisor and the large majority of reviewers that are disappointed in a certain restaurant write about either price or service. Bad pricing or substandard service can ruin a chef's artistic presentations in most... More

I went for a quick lunch with my Dad to celebrate my birthday. I loved the atmosphere and the aesthetic of the restaurant. We sat at the chef's table (highly recommend) and we both had the business lunch which included salad, entrée, and dessert. At first it took awhile to get a waiter to take our order, however I really... More

First visit, first impressions: incredibly expensive, quality is uneven, service is almost great. Details: Appetizers are $15-25 each. Entrees $30-50. Soup and Salads $10-20. Mixed drinks $15. Ouch! Seldom have we paid more, and when we have it has been an exceptional experience. Not so much here. Some of these dishes are truly great, some were served lukewarm, some (escargot,... More

We also attended during Restaurant Weeks and sat at the Chef's Table. The food was excellent and it was fascinating watching an extremely efficient kitchen that ran like a clock. The food was awesome. The bread was served hot and fresh from the oven. I really had to control myself to not eat all of it. My wife and I... More

The ambiance was perfect for a romantic dinner. My boyfriend and I went for Houston Restaurant Weeks and we genuinely enjoyed our time there. We sat at the Chef's table facing the kitchen so we were entertained by all the action, and we even had enough elbow room to comfortably enjoy our dinner. Our favorite dishes were the escargot for... We visited Artisans again for their Houston Restaurant Weeks menu. We had not visited in a while and were happy to see that it was just as good as previous visits. The amuse bouche was a spoon of flavorful heirloom tomatoes. Our escargot was tender—not tough or chewy—and bathed in garlicky butter goodness. I tried the Lobster thermador—not something I... More
