I don't know why it took me so long to try this restaurant. Maybe because my friends and family are not huge fans of Asian cuisine. I finally made it last Thursday. WOW! Mark, my main server Mark asked me what my favorite dish was. I couldn't tell him because everything was MEMORABLE! Among the three of us we tried... More

So much more than sushi at this wonderful restaurant. I'm not fond of Japanese food or sushi - I went along with my sushi loving family just to spend some time with them. There were so many delicious options from which to choose and that pleased my rather plebeian palate. On the "social menu" (happy hour) the Ham and Eggs... More

This was one of the most fantastic meals that I have had in a long time in a Houston restaurant. The kind where your mouth is happy, your palate is surprised, and your stomach is satisfied. Your wallet may not be as happy, but it is well worth it. The wait staff service was excellent (questionable at the hostess desk).... More

Let me begin by saying that the food was absolutely delicious. However, the portions were extremely small and extremely expensive! Sadly, I won't return. I can duplicate the excellent environment and flavor somewhere else. Sorry Uchi!

We were lucky to find a place at the sushi bar without reservation. The sushi was expensive, but extremely small. Quality was good, but I've had better sushi before. I think this place is more about atmosphere and style than food quality.

How fun it was to eat sushi at the old Felix's restaurant building. Drive from Sugar Land took 20 minutes at 5pm! Going against 5 o'clock traffic was the ticket. Had been to both Uchi's in Austin so knew what to expect. We made reservations and there was a line waiting. It was mostly for their "Happy Hour". We were... More

I LOVED UCHI! Every dish that we ordered were like magic in our mouth, everything just had the right balance and it melted in your mouth. I came here twice in the duration of 2 weeks time. We had to wait for tables the first time we came here but the second time, it was a breeze. But waiting isnt... More

enough said, I think it's the most fresh sushi in town. Pricey, parking can be a pain and reservations are crazy but if you are willing to overlook that to enjoy really good quality sushi, Uchi has the best.

Tasty and high quality -- strongly recommend. Well balanced, great textures, playful. Favorite: smoked hamachi dish, ebi and onion ring tempura, cold dry sake. Loved it.

This place is legit. Best sushi I have had. Staff was very attentive. Sat at the sushi bar, and watched the chefs in action, very cool. Will 100% return again!
