Very, very good sushi restaurant. The food is amazing and the service is great. They have all kinds of sake. Try de brussels sprouts, ham and egg roll, the walu walu, hama chilli.

I love a good sushi restaurant. There are many great standard sushi restaurants in Houston. We have a wonderful selection of all types of Asian food. However, if you are looking for something out of the ordinary or totally unique in the world of Sushi, then Uchi is for you. Chef Tyson Cole and his staff goes over the top... More

I was really looking forward to celebrating my husband’s Birthday at Uchi. The overall experience was TERRIBLE. The hostess and the waiter acknowledged that there is a birthday celebration, however the quality of service was simply shocking. Our waiter Patrick was not attentive. Drinks took 30 min to arrive, water was never refilled, after over an hour and twenty minutes... More

The food exceeded reputation and expectations. We set the bar high, asked the waiter to just bring whatever the chef was making and went on to enjoy a great evening. The food is sublime. So good it almost makes you mad. Always town between having the chef's tasting menu or simply enjoying the Sushi. Either is an excellent option.

My wife and I went to Uchi to try "the best restaurant in Houston" and we're happy to report that it lived up to its press. We sat at the sushi bar and had the omikase (chef's choice). Everything was both tasty and unique. Would definitely go back again! Although, make sure to make a reservation... as the word is... More

Second time at Uchi and equally as amazing as the first. Food is beyond incredible. Walu walu and the Brussel sprouts are my personal favorites. Difficult to get a reservation but we arrived this evening at 5:45pm and were seated as a table of 4 by 6:20. Drinks and 'bites' from the kitchen keep you going in the meantime. Happy... More

Uchi was downright amazing. I was with friends who live in Houston. We asked for a recommendation and our waiter went through our tastes, and food preferences leading us to order the chef's tasting menu. We alternated between sushi and meat dishes. The sushi was fresh, and fragrant, fatty cuts of fish were accompanied by sweet or savory garnish. The... More

Everywhere I travel I always opt for Japanese food simply because it's so fresh, tasty, and healthy! I didn't know what to expect from Uchi because it is a fusion restaurant rather than straight Jap. We really didn't know what to expect as we ordered...the dishes came out beautifully presented and the flavours of each dish were so mind blowing!!... More

My family loves sushi. We have traveled a lot and always look for great sushi restaurants. We were not sure what to expect of this place, but were so pleased and will definitely return many, many times. I would recommend you get the chefs 10 course tasting menu ( which has many of the favorites) and add a few extra... More

We have been visiting Houston for years and have always enjoyed great steaks so it was so refreshing to eat at uchi. Our family, who live in Houston, are regulars here and rave about it. We weren't disappointed. For me, the best thing was the Brussels sprouts. I have always loved Brussels sprouts ( even school ones) but these were... More
