Best Wild Game burgers, etc. selection

I was amazed the wild game selections offered daily at this very laid back casual restaurant for lunch or dinner. The burgers -elk, bison, etc. we got were great and really enjoyed them. I would recommend this place for anyone trying to get the lean meat wild game meat. It is more expensive than... read more

I have ate here a few times.. Burgers are usually good. Different selection of wild game on a pretzel bun.. Today I elected to have the venison hot dog.. Unfortunately it was no good.. There was no flavor at all to it and tastes more like mystery meat. Was not at all happy.. If you do go to Sammy's stick... More

Went here with some friends. Had the Yak burger. It was a good experience and casual atmosphere. There are only a few tables, so you wouldn't want a large party. We were 5 guys crammed into a small table for 4. I'd come back for the novelty with someone who hasn't been, but wouldn't make it a regular spot. You... More

Exotic game meat used to concoct some clever but classic, casual dishes; A great place for a simple but truly unique meal with friends.

This was an absolute gem of a place to eat! Being outdoors people, harvesters, and foodies - this was right up our sendero. My wife and I were over in the Heights area (Houston) and looking for a burger for an evening meal. A little Goggle research and we found ourselves at Sammy's Wild Game front door. From antelope to... More

If you are looking for an unusual meat to taste, this is the place to go. Alpaca, yak, camel, kangaroo, the list goes on. The Python Chili was the BEST!!!!

Elk, venison, wild boar, kangaroo, camel. pheasant, water buffalo and lamb.....just to name a few. Burgers and sausages are the serving choices along with salads, fries, sweet potato fries and onion rings. There is indoor and outdoor seating, with very limited parking. The restaurant is tucked behind larger stores and is on the backside away from the main road. Their... More

Looking at the pics did help me find the place... Great food, great service, I had a hard time deciding so I went with the game trio sliders & I'm very happy & feeling good! I would be a vegetarian if critters didn't taste so good! My trio included Elk, bison & venison, each one had a nice flavor &... More

Food is exotic and great like the other review said. However, at lunchtime (which didn't seem all that crowded on MLK day, we waited 40 minutes (receipt is time stamped) for our food. We probably won't go there again, at least if we are time constrained.
