Pretty good Asian food in the Galleria

Definitely coming back - features a nice selection of different Asian cuisines, oddly located in a corner of the Galleria. Though in some respects pretty Westernized Asian food, it's still delicious and not what I'd expected. The orange peel chicken was great and had the sweet, tangy taste of... read more

Definitely coming back - features a nice selection of different Asian cuisines, oddly located in a corner of the Galleria. Though in some respects pretty Westernized Asian food, it's still delicious and not what I'd expected. The orange peel chicken was great and had the sweet, tangy taste of the orange. Shanghai soup dumplings were good as well - nice... More

My future in laws took me there and omg, the food and appetizers were awesome. Tried different plates. Will definitely return.

this little space really surprised me. The menu was extensive and served small plates too. Not quite dim sum but close enough. We might not have found the restaurant but we knew we were going here in advance. The journey was rewarded with a good light lunch at a reasonable price. Look for this one, a pleasant change from a... More

I didn't feel much like wandering around in Humidston tonight so thought I would try a restaurant out in the mall. This place looks pretty basic but the menu was quite extensive (I had a #6, #40 and #110. Sounds yummy eh?). They only had 3 beers to choose from and an option to drink out of a plastic beer... My friend and I were feeling hungry after a long day shopping at galleria. Then we passed by this place. We saw the pictures of some of the dishes, and we decided to give it a try. They offered a variety of dishes. They have dishes from Taiwan, Hong Kong, and China. You can also tell that the chiefs took... More

I will not be original saying that is not the kind of restaurant you are expecting from a mall restaurant, but as soon as you get in, you're out of the mall and can experience some true good Chinese food. The Dim Sum are excellent. I liked also the fact that you can see the kitchen when you go in,... More

I stopped by on Thursday 4-9-15 approx 7pm and just stopped by the front counter to buy some orange juice, so I didn't think anything of it for the $3 charge since it's typical for a galleria type mall, but then I got my statement and it indicated that I was charged $6. Buyer beware because there's is someone who... More

As others have written, E-Tao far exceeds what you might expect in a mall restaurant--even if the mall is the Houston Galleria, one of the best malls in the world. We dropped in after shopping and started with Chicken Spring Rolls--they were good, but the dishes that followed were exceptionally good. The Lettuce Wraps were every bit as good as... More

A great place for a light meal in the Galleria with full service rather than the food court. Good dim sum and decent chinese dishes with enthusiastic if slightly disorganised service. Well worth a trip.

E-Tao has an extensive menu of unique Asian foods. We had dumplings (based on TA reviews), a pineapple/seafood fried rice and a lomein dish with meat. All were very good. We typically visit Chinatown while in Houston, but we may return to e-Tao instead. The restaurant was clean, but a little noisy. Service was excellent, the waitress answered all of... More
