My wife and I had gone to Houston for a Michael Buble' concert and to visit family. I usually check out DDD before going to a city, to see what place(s) we might want to try out ...especially if it's ethnic. We got to there about 1:20ish and got seated right away. We ordered and then sort of sat there... More

Food was excellently prepared and quite flavorful. I have my reservation about places recommended by GF at DDD food network as he recommends everything . My lamb was delicious and everyone else complemented their meal as well. Service was friendly and reasonably quick - not fast food. Prices were most reasonable.

Pita Plus is located in one of those unattractive older retail centers that are common along Westheimer. About two years ago, it moved from a small end-cap space in the same center to a much larger former South American Restaurant space. Oddly, not much was done to change the decor of the former restaurant. However, don't let any of that... More

We went in thinking we were going to get a pita sandwich. We were pleasantly surprised with an authentic family run Bosnian restaurant. We had chicken kabob, hummus, a wonderful tomato and avocado salad, and, of course, bread and rice. The bread was amazing by the way.

The place is owned by Bosnians, and they definitely know how to cook :). That been said, the food is great, the closest one to the Balkan that is in Houston. I tried almost every dish there and I have no complaints. I like the cevapi platter, goulash, salads, burek etc. The price of the food is very decent, and... More

I actually would rate this closer to 3.5 stars rather than 4, but that option is not available. Like most everyone else I suspect, I became aware of this place through Diners Drive-ins and Dives, and put it on our to do list when in Houston. The strip-mall location/modest interior did not bother me at all. The service was fine.... More

I have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed. The food is great, as well as the waitstaff. No matter what you order, It comes out fresh, hot, and delicious. It's a great neighborhood restaurant that is well run, not pretentious, and appreciates you business. My advice is to come hungry. You always get your monies worth.

I have eaten at this restaurant several times and each time the food is impeccable. The gyro is phenomenal and the Turkish sandwich the same. Their pita bread is some of the best I have ever had. The price is so very right as well. A couple of negatives...they are not likely to put much ice in your cold drinks... More

I have eaten here 3 times. First time was the Pirjan cooked in a clay pot. The second time was Goulash and the third time was the stuffedPljeskavice (big hamburger). All 3 were very good. My favorite was the goulash ( I would give it 5 stars). What I like about this place is that it meets important criteria for... More
