All the waitstaff has to go to 'Beer College' so they really know their stuff. It's amazing how much they know about so many different beers. Kudos to them. Some of the best wings ever, order the Mojo. Yummy giant warm pretzel, have it with queso and spicy mustard on the side. BTW, join their club, drink #200 beers (3... More

In Houston with a colleague, we were looking for a place with some atmosphere that served food. We settled on the Flying Saucer as walking past it looked quite full - a good enough sign we thought. There was one table left downstairs (there is also seating upstairs above the bar) so we sat down and were promptly seen by... More

No loud music so you can enjoy conversation and lunch. Large portions. HUGE beer list to fit any taste. Our server, Veronica, was a true gem! Will return next time I'm in town.

Huge beer selection. The food was typical bar food. We ordered humus and chili. The service was average.

Pretty much what you'd expect from a downtown pub. Beers and brats. Oddly no burgers. Can be loud. If it makes a difference to you, a lot of pilots.

My wife and I were geocaching in Buffalo Bayou Park nearby and near city hall when she suggested we go get a pint. I pulled up the map app on my phone and typed in beer. Two places came up on the map, The Flying Saucer being one of them. I read the description and said immediately that was the... More

The Flying Saucer is all about beer, and in this there is truth in advertising. Just in case you don't want beer (why did you come here then?), you can have mead, they have that on tap too. The food was very good, I had a reuben and the bread tasted like it had come out of the oven just... More

I am a repeat (over and over and over) visitor the Flying Saucer bar, Houston. This a beer connoisseur's bar with 150-200+ beers available on draft or in bottles. These are described on a 'beer menu' called the Fly Paper. There is a member's club called the UFO club, and membership tracks the beers you've sampled. Drink 200, and you're... More

The chicken wings in here were great. I got the hot ones and the went well with the beer . The service was great too Would i... More
