My wife and I were geocaching in Buffalo Bayou Park nearby and near city hall when she suggested we go get a pint. I pulled up the map app on my phone and typed in beer. Two places came up on the map, The Flying Saucer being one of them. I read the description and said immediately that was the... read more

The Flying Saucer is all about beer, and in this there is truth in advertising. Just in case you don't want beer (why did you come here then?), you can have mead, they have that on tap too. The food was very good, I had a reuben and the bread tasted like it had come out of the oven just... More

I am a repeat (over and over and over) visitor the Flying Saucer bar, Houston. This a beer connoisseur's bar with 150-200+ beers available on draft or in bottles. These are described on a 'beer menu' called the Fly Paper. There is a member's club called the UFO club, and membership tracks the beers you've sampled. Drink 200, and you're... More

Visited here with colleagues from work. They had a fantastic range of beers. Over 150I tasted a few but kept to the less than 5% stuff. Some of the beers go upto 10%+. The chicken wings in here were great. I got the hot ones and the went well with the beer . The service was great too Would i... More

Excellent selection of beers. Which is unusual in America. Reasonable prices and prompt service with no shortage of smiles. Food very standard. Nothing special. I'd visit again but mainly due to location and convenience.

I spent an evening here with a group of business partners and customers. We all had a great time here! We split several different appetizers, which were all amazing, then ordered our meals, which were just as good as the appetizers. The beer selection is almost too much (is there such a thing?), we had fun exploring them. Unfortunately I... More

Our waitress was very attentive. We didn't have to wait for anything. The food was great and the beer menu was impressive. Would definitely come here again.

Outstanding staff, v knowledgable and could describe the beers in detail and their recommendations were good. I don't particularly like American beer, however there are a few European beers to choose from. Food simple but good value and not insane quantities! Overall v recommended.

Enjoyed this place. Wow, what a beer selection. Great chicken wings, best I've had in Texas. Popular spot, very busy.

Dropped by for a business lunch - was a fun place that if you like beer (sampling the literally hundreds of options) is a must go to place when in Houston. There's even some award if you reach the tasted 200 different varieties level (but mercifully they have a six bottle per person per trip limit!). The food is pretty... More
