Chocolate utopia/favorite dessert place

It' s like walking into an eclectic 70's diner: purple argyle walls, yellow accent wall and disco balls. This place is bad for your health as the ice cream is so good you will keep eating it even though your brain says you ought to stop. We didn't try any other deserts but looking at what other people had on their tables they looked incredibly yummy too and the portions were humongous. Unless you have incredible self control... If you are a Houstonian or visiting Houston you have to visit the Chocolate Bar. They have numerous chocolate cakes that are just exceptional. We recently tried the Any Day's a Holiday Cake and it was phenomenal.

I have been hare manytimes and i tell people about this place with the intent to bring them later on.The chocolate is superb and the ice cream is pretty good as well. A hidden gem in the area and a great place for a social event or gathering.

Have been here many times with the grand kids and have always purchased some candy. Lately though the candy (almond toffee in particular) has shrunken portions. Went here recently after a birthday celebration and bought a piece of Bayou City Mud Pie. Wow that is sweet! One piece will last me all week as it is VERY chocolaty. The ice... More

This is a wonderful place for a special ice cream treat! While you may be tempted to get the bigger portion, the ice cream is decadent and rich...a little goes a long way. The double shot espresso is the BEST!!!

Love their strawberry ice cream, one place you could go to indulge your taste buds. You can't have enough of it. Clearly amongst the top ice cream parlors in town

Loved this place...they make chocolate figures of just about any kind and they are solid, not hollow. It is a treat just to walk around the store and see all the things that can be done with chocolate. They also have ice cream and several sinful types of cakes. I did not try them because I really don't need it... More
