Liked the food; just right portions. Liked the atmosphere - dim, modern, open. The timing of everything was just great. Just a little noisy for conversations with large groups.

Price is a little high for the type of food. The wait staff was not friendly. Our server did not even know the beer menu.

We went for lunch and I had the heirloom tomato salad with goat cheese pesto, which was awesome. The heirloom tomatoes were fresh and really flavorful. Then had the Texas red fish with dirty rice. Had never heard of Texas red fish before and it was good, sort of like any white fish. The house salad and tuna sashima were... More

The Grove is well located in downtown Houston. The area is very active, clean and safe. The restaurant was very busy the night we were there. There was a convention at the Hilton Americas. Given the busy crowd, the service was very good. The food was also very good and all in our party of 12 enjoyed their meal. I... More

Situated in Discovery Green across from the Hilton, The Grove is a great place for a bite or drink. The prices are a tad inflated. I had Shrimp and Grits that were a wonderful adaption to this traditional faire. Went on another night for a drink. The service each time was marginal, taking four requests for a glass of water... This is a wonderful restaurant located on Discovery Green across the street from the GRB Conv. Ctr. They have a garden on the roof where they grow produce and herbs used in their dishes. The wild salmon salad was great with those cornbread croutons. We shared the Texas Pecan Cake and the Pan cotta for dessert. Another yum!

this place was over priced for what we got. Just saying I can get 3 or 12 buks any where but I paid 2 almost 16 bucks wow every topping was .99 cents. To much for very little and not even fresh fruit.

Extremely friendly service. Nice surroundings. I enjoyed reading the plaque about George Brown and how they kept the park alive for the public. No trash anywhere.
