Convenient but you better have time

it is a convenient location for the Toyota Center, George R Brown Convention Center and other Downtown locations at Discovery Green. The food can be good. It is somewhat pricey but not too bad. When visiting Houston, enjoyed eating here three times, twice for lunch, once for supper. Had the Shrimp & Crab Salad Roll, the Fresh Catch Tacos and ended with the Scallops for my last supper there. Each meal was dimensional in flavor, though I preferred the first two to the scallops. These are not Texas sized portions and it is a... More

The Grove is a trendy joint located in s beautiful park across from the Houston Convention Center. It is modern and full of natural light. Menu items are fresh and include a wide mix of flavors, colors, and textures I enjoyed all aspects of my meal while watching children, families, and conference goers enjoy a beautiful day at a park.... Trendy atmosphere. Good food. Fried carrots were delicious. Drinks are pricey. Hostess not friendly.

I was staying downtown for a convention and met a group here for dinner. I was not expecting much since it was in a tourist area. Instead, i had a great experience. Booth was spacious. My lamb was tender and wonderful. Cocktails were original and nice. Service was great - waiter was properly attentive and had helpful suggestions. Would be... More

Had the salmon which was excellent and server actually asked and delivered on the customer request for doneness, I like my salmon medium rare. But the vegetable melange topper puts this dish over the top!

The food was pretty good... I had the grilled fish tacos which were good, and my husband had the rotisserie chicken which was really tasty. But no sides come with the tacos, and for $20, I would've expected a bit more I guess. Beautiful place though.

Dropped by The Grove due to the long wait time at a nearby restaurant. They were able to immediately sit a party of five, which was nice. Food quality was excellent. Found it to be a little pricey, relative to portion sizes. It was a little loud this night due to a teen birthday party inside. Our waitress was friendly... More

Dropped by The Grove at Discovery Green before the Rocket's game on Friday night. I really didn't know what to expect but what I got was a perfect glass of Pinot Grigio, complementary peanuts and perhaps the best Seafood salad sandwich I have ever tasted! The bill came to $30 so I would say the fare here is moderate to... More

While attending a conference in Houston, we found very few restaurants within walking distance, and The Grove was not only convenient but a nice surprise. The staff was very well trained and attentive. When we complimented the sugar snap peas, they even told us how they made them so delicious. The ambiance was peaceful in our case, because we went...
