Went to Old Hickory to celebrate our 29th wedding anniversay and we had a great time! The restaurant is very classy without seeming too pretentious and the food and the wait staff was great. There was a convention at the hotel so there was quite a bit of foot traffic going in and out of the restaurant, but it was... More

Was attending a conference at the Gaylord Texan and needed a dinner with a colleague after not eating all day due to travel. Couldn't have picked a better spot than this! The ambience is classic Steakhouse with low lighting and lots of wood. Their butter lettuce wedge was a nice change from the typical iceberg version one usually sees. The... More

We recently enjoyed dinner at the Old Hickory. This was a lovely restaurant. It's fairly pricey, but the food and service was very good.

We decided that we had to have a steak while in Texas, so glad we picked Old Hickory! It was a little odd when we walked in and down the long staircase to find no one at the front. Despite many employees around, it took a fair amount of time to be greeted. Once we were, there was some question... More

Attended a business dinner here. We had a private room and limited menu given the size of our group. However, they did a very nice job during dinner service. The food was all above average for a hotel restaurant but not outstanding in any way. Private room was good size and we had plenty of room for cocktails and conversation... More

Our 1st night @ the Gaylord & they did not disappoint! The food was exquisite from the presentation to the flavors! From the rich & creamy lobster bisque to the ribeye, everything we ordered was fantastic! Service was extremely good as well & everyone was super friendly.

We had an amazing night. After reading the reviews, we decided on the Lobster bisque as a starter. It was everything people said it was. We were amazed and even asked for the recipe,.which they gave us! Our waiter was very attentive and helpful. The bartender made our drinks perfectly and the food was EXCELLENT. Among the bisque, we had... More

The food was a taste sensation. We had the black truffle fries, which was a generous portion and very flavorful. My daughter and I shared a Kansas City strip, that was perfection. We also had whipped potatoes, and the grilled caesar salad. It was an amazing dinner. The price was a little high, but after the service and taste…..it was... More

Service was wonderful I started with the Lobster Bisque which was great and the filet that I had was excellent. The wine selection was vast and the one that the waiter suggested was a perfect fit. The atmosphere was perfect for a steakhouse. It was not inexpensive but you left feeling you got your moneys worth.
