It took awhile to get our food but it was packed and we didn't mind because we were all talking. Food was great and server very nice, nice ambience. Really enjoyed this restaurant!

I took 10 clients here for dinner as we were all staying at the hotel for a convention and it is was as expected. Old school steakhouse, big wine list, good steak, great salads and sides, etc. Fish on the menu could use some help but otherwise this place is exactly what it is advertised to be. If staying at... We made reservations for 6 p.m. and It was not too crowded when we arrived, but filled up quickly. "Dine in the warm, rich atmosphere of a Texas wine cellar while savoring the finest cuts of beef and seafood. One has to go downstairs (or use the elevator) to enter the restaurant. This restaurant is superb -- the ambiance, the... More

We are staying at The Gaylord Texan, Old Hickory was recommended to us by a local. We wanted to spend a relaxing evening and have a great dinner, both expectations were exceeded. Our server, Josef, was knowledgeable and made very helpful suggestions, some of which were not on the menu. The young man who served our cheese selection went out... More

Fine Dining Experience - excellent service, superb meals, desserts to die for. Our waiter was very attentive and super helpful. The meals were delicious. A little pricey but would highly recommend dining here for a special night out.

The Old Hickory Steakhouse is second to none. I have eaten at multiple steakhouses and this one has been the best one. The customer service we received was outstanding.the servers did an excellent job explaining the different entrees available on their menu. I ordered the ribeye steak and it has been the best steak Ieper. If you ever stay at... More

I've always heard the expression "you could cut it with a fork", but this is the first time I've ever had a steak where that was the case. This place is expensive. The steaks start around $40 and everything is extra, but it's worth it.

Since we were staying at the Gaylords and some of our party wanted Steak I reluctantly agreed to try Old Hickory for a second time. While the place is well decorated the quality and service I would expect of a fine steak house in a fine hotel is not up to part. Don't get me wrong it isn't bad it... More

We had a group of 11 last night meaning that the gratuity was included. Even so, one would expect good service when the least expensive steak is $38.00 and a glass of wine is $22. I'll just cover the highlights for you... 1) The waitress did not initially ask if we. (as a group) wanted one check or separate checks.... More
