I travel all over the US, dining in some of the best steakhouses in the world. Usually hotel restaurants are "average" at best, but I have to say, Old Hickory was an amazing gastronomic treat! From the first course to the last, the meal and service was impeccable! Its worth the drive out to Grapevine to eat here.

We took a large group to the Old Hickory restaurant this past week and I was very impressed with the location and the service, however, the food was not so great. Being a steak house you would think the Ribeye Steak would be outstanding, not the case. Now do understand, the steak was good, but not great. I've had much... More

Nice dinner with wonderful service but impossible to take your mind off the expense of the meal while dining. Don't care for restaurants where everything is ala carte.

We had the best service tonight at dinner. Eliseo and Roberto are hands down the best wait staff that we have ever had. Prompt, courteous, top notch! Our food was great as well but the service exceptional!

We started out at the wine bar next door (attached) to the restaurant. They had a wide selection of wines by the glass. Our meal was a pretty standard high-end steak restaurant meal, which I think is great for a hotel restaurant. The appetizer cheese plate was a nice touch where they bring out a wide variety of cheeses and... More

After a long day of meetings, it was nice to have a quiet, comfortable meal. Cocktails and wine were fantastic. The filet was great and perfectly cooked. The spicy pepper corn and crab cakes were also great. For dessert, try the chocolate cake...there was an inch layer of fudge on top of the normal chocolate cake. Yum!

I am a local DFW resident and go to the Old Hickory a few times a year and always have a fantastic experience and meal. I didn't realize how good I had it until this past weekend when my family visited NYC. Of all places to have a meal in the world we felt like we should have been able... More

We were attending a conference at the Gaylord Texan Hotel and we're looking for a good restaurant to entertain customers. We chose this steakhouse and I am glad we did. We all had the grain fed beef and it was excellent. The cut was quite thick and all the vegetables and sides were large enough to share. I had the... More

An excellent steak house at the Gaylord Texan resort. The selection and quality of cuts of beef were fantastic. Our steaks were perfectly cooked to order. The sides are enough to share. The creamed corn and garlic truffle fries were over the top. Service was very friendly, attentive and professional. The wine list was very nice, but the pours were... More

Fabulous food. Split a big steak, salad, appetizer and side dish and was too full for dessert. Ask for a table with a nice view. Only complaint was we did not like spending the amount of money to look at the kitchen. Would have been even better if we could have enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant.
