As out of towners, you really depend on word of mouth for food service. We recently tried to eat at this place and were told that if we did not have reservations don't bother. There was nothing indicated anywhere that reservations were being taken or required. We were turned away at the door only for someone to shout sorry on... More

Best Italian in DFW area, hands down. I've been here 9 years and this is the first restaurant that I have found that serves good italian food. I'm from the northeast and from an Italian family... I'm hard to please. Vodka sauce is to die for.

We agree with other reviewers- the best Italian anywhere. Everything was delicious! Cheese tortellni was fresh and prepared perfectly. Linguini and clams in red sauce had exactly the right spice. All the pasta was prepared al dente- excellent. The bread was hot and delicious and perfect to soak up the extra sauce. Great service in a very nice, friendly atmosphere.... More

We had a large party of 14 meeting up in Grapevine from all over, and wanted a restaurant off property to eat at for dinner to celebrate a birthday. We were not disappointed. The food and service were excellent. It is a BYOB, so someone ran down the street for wine at the advice of our waiter. Meals were reasonably... More

Altho Café Italia is close to home, I had not been there until my boss treated us to a most delicious meal. Service was beyond excellent, and we were not rushed as we took our ole' sweet time to savor our meal. BYOB...there was not even a bottle fee nor glass fee. I'll definitely put this on my list to... This is the newer sister restaurant to the original in a remodeled Pizza Hut. The menu is the same. Interiors somewhat different, as this is a larger restaurant. So nice to bring your own wine. We began our meal with an appetizer of delicious stuffed mushrooms in a mouth watering pink vodka sauce. Meal comes with wonderful sourdough bread and... More

You might drive right by this tiny restaurant but trust me, big things come in small packages! So glad we had reservations, the place was packed. By far the best home style Italian food. Service - impeccable, atmosphere - charming, and food - OUTSTANDING! Our party consisted of two couples, we had; Chilean Sea Bass, Salmon special, Chicken Parmesan, and... More

We love coming here because the food is outstanding. They have every kind of Italian dish that you could imagine. Their menu is actually quite extensive! We had a veal dish with the brandy cream sauce last night and it was ridiculous! We shared the entrée we shared a salad and we shared calamari, brought our own $200 bottle of... More

This is a go to place for my family and I to eat at. Cafe Italia has been around for years (with 2 locations in Grapevine). Many repeat customers and large, celebratory groups frequent this establishment. We eat here for both standard dinners and special events. I have had almost everything on the menu and although I do have my... More

This is a great Italian restaurant, great food, very good value; and the best part is it's BYOB. So, for the money, this is a great value.
