We took our granddaughter to the Dallas area for spring break. She loves Italian food, so that is nearly always the first thing we look for. I read all the reviews and decided to try Cafe Italia. I usually order a chicken entree and asked the waiter, and he suggested the Chicken Genovez. It was wonderful!. My granddaughter had eggplant...

I am a foodie so ambiance is as important to me. What I love about this place are two things. (1) Excellent food. (2) BYOW (Bring Your Own WIne). I have an extensive wine collection and it is awesome that I can bring my own wine into this establishment. Staff is great as well.
We were actually told how fast we had to eat. Yup... Sorry, we have reservations... so we are going to seat you but you have to be out within an hour at the most. We left a whole lot quicker than an hour. Tried it again later with friends (because they wanted to go) food was "fair" at best.
Great place to take friends and family. Fresh pasta and bread made daily. The owners treat you like visiting family coming over for dinner. Don't see what you want on the menu. Just ask!!!

As a New Yorker, I've tried many NY Italian restaurants,...

Took the kids here but was so dark I went out to my truck and got a flashlight so I could read the menu. Not kidding, embarrassed my daughter but oh well. The food was good, prices were a tad high but the non return factor is I left hungry.
I came to the Hwy 26 location with girl friends to celebrate my birthday and the experience was so good, I brought my extended family here the next weekend.
This is an excellent place for large parties. My friends and I had never before tried escargot, so we ordered it as an appetizer and everyone bravely ate it-- and loved...

I went to Trip Advisor to pick a restaurant for our girls day out. Cafe Italia was ranked the number one restarant for Grapevine. A group of seven went to Cafe Italia for lunch (a Saturday). We were the only table in the restaurant. The wait staff was very friendly and the food was excellent. I ordered a stuffed chicken...

Rule of thumb - when you walk into an Italian restaurant and you cannot smell garlic, turn around and run. Why people would stand in line to get a table here, is a mystery to me. Maybe it's just the BYOB aspect, because it sure can' t be the food.
To start, their uninspired, garlic free "marinara sauce" has multiple...
