I was tols this was some of the best mexican food aroind and I was not disappointed. I had the tortilla soup and chicken tacos and my mouth waters just thinking about it. The soup wasnloaded with chicken and the tacos were succulent. Our service was a little slow for lunch but I think it was the server, not the... More

Let me start off by saying we really enjoyed the food here. The fajitas were delicious, and the in-house tortillas were also very good. My wife loved her street tacos. That all said, this was one of the weirdest experiences we have had in a place. I asked for the fajitas w/ no onions. The server stated they might not... More

First time visit with old friends and met expectations. Service was friendly if a little pushy to order dinner when we were catching up on conversation. The fajitas were very tasty and overall good value. Bottom line would go again. What more can you say?

I'm a long time fan of uncle Julio's restaurants. I find all of the locations to be somewhat hit & miss. When they are good, it will leave you craving more for years to come. However, when it is not as good, they are about average. Most locals know uncle julio's for their homemade tortillas & steak fajitas. Yes, they... More

We tried Uncle Julio's after a few people raved about how amazing it was. While waiting to be seated, a hostess told a couple that there was no wait to be seated on the patio but they declined. That hostess left and another one walked up less than a minute later; we asked to be seated on the patio and... More

This restaurant came highly recommended. We don't get it. It was so loud we couldn't hear each other, two attempts to bring us a lemonade that tasted like lemonade failed, and worst of all, the food was mediocre, at best, and overpriced! Ugh.

The verde chicken enchiladas were very good, but I miss the verde sauce before they changed the recipe a couple months ago. The manager said the sauce is now vegetarian and better. I disagree and am disappointed. Uncle Julio's no longer has my fav green sauce in Texas. Although the food at UJ is still delicious, Chuy's now has the... More

Went here with my brother, who was inspired by their filet Mignon fajitas. They offer a few different types of sauces and salsa, I recommend trying the habanero salsa if you like a good kick. I tried their bacon wrapped, cheese stuffed, mango habanero glazed shrimp and they were out of this world good.

The bottom line is that the food was very good, but for Mexican/Tex-Mex food, the prices were very high. We were there for lunch, but just glancing at the dinner menu, they had several entrees that topped $20. Lunch was a fairly reasonable, but it would be tough to talk me into paying the prices again.

Going back to Uncle Julio's is always a treat. Not living in Texas any longer, we always plan a trip for tex mex. The fajita's are outstanding, always hot and cooked just right. Thanks for an enjoyable meal. Great service as well.
