Fresh and fast

In a land with plenty of good tex mex options, uncle julio's is a strong stand out. Crispy thin chips, fresh salsa, fajitas that arrived literally 3 minutes after ordering, and fun decor make this a perennial favorite.

Came here after a long day at Legoland. The chips and salsa were very good. I have the carnita tacos and they were quite tasty. The beer was ice cold but the service was only ok. I would go back and give it another try but I would get something else.

Uncle Julios takes the #1 spot on my list for Mexican food. I have never ordered anything off this menu that I didn't LOVE. If you like Ceviche then try it here. If you haven't tried Ceviche you should. They set the bar high on their fajitas as well. I always ask for a grilled jalapeño with mine. Great cocktail... More

Kitchen is slow, new ownership raised prices and broke the stuff that was great about this place. Still one of top Mexican food places in area, just bring a big wallet and lots of patience.

My wife found this restaurant off open table. We are visiting from Florida. It was a party of 5, our reservation was originally for 4 but they were able to make accommodations for us with no problems. We started out with drinks which were great. We ordered a blanco queso and table side guacamole. Alerted the waiter that my wife... More

Reasonably good food, but service was slow, prices are pretty steep for Mexican, and the drinks are a bit above average for most 3-star restaurants (which is what I'd call UJ's). Used to be a great place, but it's become mediocre...need to start with getting the waitstaff trained better, lower the prices a good 10-15% and then look at it... More

Whenever we fly out of DFW, we always eat dinner the night before at Uncle Julio's. I particularly enjoy the Sangria Swirl margaritas. For dinner, we enjoyed queso, bacon wrapped shrimp, and sopaipillas. Our waitress, a recent transplant from Chicago was efficient and friendly! See ya next year Uncle Julio's!

We just flew back to Texas from vacation and wanted some Tex Mex before heading home. We all enjoyed our meal - I had quesidillas, hubby had enchiladas and our son had tacos. Service was fast and friendly. I highly recommend.

We ate at Uncle Julio's based on a recommendation and it was well worth a visit. The place is very authentic, serves great Mexican food and fantastic Margaritas. The staff is very friendly and as it seemed busy I reckon you'd be better off making a reservation, just in case. They offer to make fresh quacamole at your table which... More

We always look forward to great food here, no matter what we order. The fajitas are one of our favorite! The margaritas are strong and tasty. It's always a great time here!
