Decent food but slow service

I visited in Feb 2014, hungry for some BBQ. We went in on a Friday at lunchtime. There were only a few patrons, yet we waited a long while before being asked our drink selections. My iced tea was so warm I had to ask for a glass of ice to cool it down. The food was ok...nothing too special,... read more

Place seems a little on the low-end. They have a roll of paper towels on the bar instead of having regular napkins. So when your hand is all sticky from the BBQ sauce and you grab the paper towel roll, the sauce on your hand gets on the rest of the paper towels. Not so bad if you were grabbing... More

I recommend "Big Racks BBQ and sports Grill". Went to texas with another couple and we let the guys pick a restaurant. My first thought was, "wow, another sports bar"! But we really enjoyed the food and atmosphere! I think it is quintessential Texas! Excellent BBQ!

First off, we were one of three tables when we visited at 3pm. They ran out of ice for our drinks! The food took almost an hour to come out and several plates were not correct. We sat with empty cups most of the time and when the food did come out, it was cold. The only plate that our... More

This is the kind of place I wish I lived closer to, but am glad that I don't. The beer is cold, the BBQ is pretty good, the portions are above average and the wait staff is extremely attentive. I couldn't decide which meat to get so I tried the Mann platter and wasn't disappointed, except for the fact that... More

Went here our first night of spring break. The food was good but it was loud and the waitresses could use a few more ounces of clothing. Their lack of clothing would have been ok by myself but not with family in tow. The ribs were a spicy rub and very good. Lots of food for the money but the... More

Big place that needs more employees. Hostess also waited on us when she felt it was necessary. My drink was empty and I finally decided to wave at her. She tells me give me a couple and she goes to other side of restaurant to eat chips with her friends. I wanted to change my drink but she eventually showed... More

There are lots of hotels & chain restaurants around here, but not a lot of good bars. This place wins by default because it's the only bar that's open late. I haven't eaten here, but the menu looks good. Bar service is great.

Came in with a group of eight, got seated right away. The place was not very busy at the time. Ordered our food and drinks and the waitress returned 5 minutes later to ask someone in our party what the PS stood for on the order SHE took. It was Potato Salad! Ha she could not even read her own... More
