It's hard to review Mexican restaurants because they are very similar. What stood out here were their chips and salsa. Some of the best I've had. The food was good but nothing special.

The Tex-Mex menu offered plenty to choose from, the waitstaff was friendly, the restaurant was clean. I had awesome fish tacos and the tortilla chips are good enough to make a meal out of.

The Fenix was recommended by staff at the hotel during a recent business trip to Grapevine. First thing you notice is that it was founded in 1918 which is always a good sign. Décor is modern with a Mexican cantina flair. Service is prompt and professional. We all has margaritas at what seemed to be happy hour prices which were... More

My wife and I had lunch at this restaurant. Service was friendly, but food was just so so. Great chips and salsa, but my wife's salad had some unidentified substance that didn't taste good. I had enchiladas, their specialty and found them bland, almost tasteless. In all it was disappointing. The meal cost $24 and included 2 cokes that cost... More

Very reasonably priced food with amazingly good chips and salsa. Several menu items are not your traditional TexMex and they were excellent. Also, they have the BEST sopapillas we have ever had!!

This is a restaurant but serve you food like a taco bell. Taco bell has better Nacho than this restaurant.

I dined here recently with my elderly mother. Our waiter was great; young, energetic, attentive. The food was disappointing to say the least. The Tilapia was the least offensive dish I could find and my mother's 'crispy' taco shells were soft and greasy. I guess it might be a good place if you like fast food at a sit down... More

House Margaritas to start in a tall salt rimmed glass but they must have thought my wife and I were underage as the tequila was missing. Chips were fresh and the salsa tasty. My wife enjoyed the chicken enchiladas which she enjoyed while I had a special combination of beef and shrimp fajitas. These were in a delicious sauce and... More

Real TexMex like what you used to find everywhere before they cut chili con carne and went to "sauces" that a mystery. Loved it and went there every weekend for the 6 weeks we were there.
