I would venture to say, the food here is very good. Greasy and messy. The catfish was down right tasty and the chili burgers are just as good. The food is very reasonable priced. The service is one to be desired, depends on who is at the counter, you get the rude or the sassy. You decide.

Irby's is located on the Lake in Granbury. They have great onion rings, really good burgers and mine wife says the best catfish in the Granbury area! Everything else is good although not homemade, such as crinkle cut fries instead of hand cut, but it is a good "hole in the wall" place to go when you are in Granbury.... More

Love the old fashioned cornmeal breaded catfish here. I've probably eaten here 10 times and have found the catfish consistently good. Service is small town friendly and efficient. The ambiance is small town cast-off fast food restaurant furniture, but it's comfortable and there is a nice small lake view in non-drought times. The only other thing I've had besides catfish... Located just as you come into downtown is a small non-descript restaurant known as Irby's. We had heard about the place from locals and decided to stop. It is nothing fancy, however we like these kinds of places. The hamburgers were very good. Sure was a treat off the beaten path of fast food hamburger places.

Always eat at Irby's, especially when we have company. Great catfish, burgers, everything. Can get to it by boat. Sit inside our outside. Don't miss it!

Typically, there are multiple cars parked in the lot at this business; indicating that the food must be pretty good. On a recent Sunday, we purchased 4 fried catfish platters including okra, cole slaw and pinto beans. I must tell you that both Stumpy's and Hoffbrau serve better food than Irby's. I really wanted this to be good, or even... More

I don't know where all of these people that are writing these reviews are eating but it ain't Irby's. This place is horrible. Dirty dishes and silverware were the first turn off. The smell was the second, and the last straw was the catfish I was served was only half cooked. So many people including my own mother have bragged... More

This small little café is just the place to visit for some comfort food. Best hamburgers, fish, steak fingers or chicken strips in Granbury. Many out of town folks drive in for this food. Close to the square, and many local eat here daily.

Returned to Granbury and was SO happy to see this place still around! I moved from Louisiana to Granbury years ago and Irbys was my happy place. We visited last weekend and were so glad nothings changed and its still there! Even bought a couple bags of hush puppies to take home! Anybody around Granbury that hasn't been to Irby's... More

We wound up here because the place we wanted to go to was already closed (we had not seen any hours posted on the web). Not too bad. My husband had the fried catfish & I had the chicken tenders. Nothing extra special about it but it was good, the staff friendly & under $20 for both of us. Not... More
