The only thing on the menu that's not fried is the smoked chicken, which was pretty good, although overly salty. The chicken fried steak was good but heavily battered and fried as is the chicken. The beans seemed on the greasy (buttery?) side too. If you are looking for anything on the lean or healthy side, skip this place. The... More

Not a lot of pizazz but the food is all family style. Big plates of fried food and not too many vegetables. The salad was very good, comprised of just lettuce but the salad dressing was very delish.

Fed up with burgers, had too much steak, looking for a bit of white meat? You could do worse than Babe's, it is a family run chain of restaurants in and around Dallas, Fort Worth which specialise in ... Chicken, most of fried but the smoked chicken in grilled so something for everyone. Also the mains are served with mashed... More

I am a firm believer in "you can add salt, but you can't take it away." I have eaten here twice and both times I felt as if I had been served a salt lick. Way too much salt on the fried chicken and in the excessively greasy green beans. I will stick to homemade from now on. Luckily we... More

There were six in our party, we split between tenders and smoked chicken. The food was excellent as usual. The servers did a line dance for all to enjoy.

My wife and I took our daughter and her family here for dinner the night before Thanksgiving ! We got right in, had a great waitress, and had smoked chicken, chicken fry, and catfish ! Everyone raved about the food ! My 18 year old granddaughter loved the salad, and ate almost a bowl herself ! Sides are excellent, creamy... More

Limited choices on entrees but well done. We had broiled chicken and it was great. Finished off with coconut pie. Yummy. The waitresses line dance to the boot scootin boogie about every 30 minutes. Fun evening.

Great fried chicken, creamy gravy, buttery mashed potatoes, southern style green beans and sweet tea make a perfect American favorite like Mom and Granny would make.
