Stopped by for lunch after a trip to Fossil Rim. Having eaten at Hammond's the night before, I wanted to compare. Unfortunately for The Ranch House, they come in second of the two. The food is tasty, but portions are a good bit smaller than Hammond's and are served on styrofoam plates. Utensils are also plastic, so they don't get... More

When we are hungry for great ribs this is where we go. The grilled steaks are also excellent. Every time we order the steaks we wonder why we have waited so long. I do agree with others that the plastic ware is off-putting.

I travel thru Glenrose often so I have eaten at all three BBQ places. This one ranks at the bottom. Not necessarily bad but severely outclassed by Loco Coyote and Hammonds. I have had ribs twice and both times they were very tough(flavor was good). Brisket is best choice of the BBQ. I now only get the Mesquite steak but... More

Our chopped beef sandwiches were good, but the fries were extremely greasy and limp. Skip them. The service was very friendly. The place looks down on its luck - the cash register is duct-taped, they don't accept credit cards and their phone wasn't working. If it's nearby and you don't want to go far, it's adequate.

In response to your recent review about The Ranch House BBQ we were down on our luck when you visited as anyone in our position would be.We had just been broken into in the middle of the night by some hooded men caught on video who not only stole money from us but they trashed our register with a crow... Liked the BBQ, loved the Onion rings, and the banana pudding was OK. Atmosphere very casual. A little odd - mostly served at your table, but get & refill your own drinks. Worked for me though. Was happy with my choice to stop here. Oh, Cash only.

Nice owners. Really good food. Good eating experience. I've worked in the restaurant business for a while and can be critical but I have no complaints here. Great restaurant!

We read about this restaurant in a pamphlet in the hotel room. It was rated quite high, so we thought we'd try it. We were met with a sign on the front door indicating they were out of brisket, and they couldn't accept credit/debit forms of payment. Between those two items, we immediately departed the premises and took our business... More

We went here when Hammond's Barbque was closed one time, and were pleasantly surprised. The food was good and in ample portions. Price wasn't bad either.

It's great to have two outstanding barbeque restaurants in town, but I chose Ranch House since it was a little closer to my hotel. I arrived early to make sure all the selections were available. My brisket was tender, with a great smoky flavor. The BBQ beans were tasty and the Chipotle-flavored potato salad was very flavorful and interesting. Large... More
