We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner here and everything was fabulous! The breakfast buffet leaves you full for the whole day with great selections of freshly made pancakes, belgian waffles and muffins as well as eggs and breakfast meats. For lunch we tried the burgers, steak and eggs, and salad with grilled chicken and there was dried fruit for us... More

We have had several opportunities to visit Rough Creek. We've spent some nights there in the lodge as well as many meals. It is always a great experience anytime you go. This last visit was for our 10th anniversary dinner. The staff, as always, creates an atmosphere of relaxation and enjoyment. If you make dinner reservations, make sure you arrive... More

We stayed at the lodge and the package included dinner and breakfast. I'm not a fan of 'fine dining' with snooty wait staff and food that's really not that good. However, Rough Creek was so different. The restaurant interior was very impressive with a nice view of the lake along wiith prime western music which fit in so well. More... More

This has excellent audiovisual capabilities for presentations, but is very expensive. The restaurant charges equivalent to the priciest restaurants in Fort Worth without matching the same quality. It has excellent facilities and guides with dogs for bird hunting (pheasant, chakar, quail) They have been pen raised and are reluctant to fly, since the policy is "if it flies, it dies".... More

This is an unusual place to find way out there in the country but it is certainly worth the drive. Great food. Hotel is also first rate.

We enjoyed one of the top 5 meals we've ever had in Texas with THE best service hands down. However, we really struggle with the $75/ person plus 21% automatic gratuity given the effort it takes to reach the location. The dining room was empty - and now we know why.

Literally everything on the menu is amazing. We've been coming to Rough Creek for over eight years and never had a bad meal. From steaks and quail to vanilla bean pancakes, Rough Creek sets the bar for dining in Texas.

Every single dish prepared by the Executive Chef, Gerard Thompson, it's literally drops from Paradise. It's so hard to choose from his menu and you want to order them all, and have them lined up on the table. I call it "Tour of Heaven", when it's time to order my special plate.
