Staff was friendly and attentive. Gave me good information about a local attraction I was interested in. The lunch sandwiches were excellent. My wife and I will be back the next time we are in Glen Rose.

Recently I had lunch at Storiebook Café with my uncle Hugh, and my son, Trajan. A very congenial setting, in predominantly a large single room with a children's activities area off to one side. Service was great, and our soup and sandwiches were very good, and particularly welcome on somewhat cold day. My son left his camera there, and when... More

We were a party of 11 and when I called they could not accommodate us all at one table, so we ate at 2. This is a tearoom type of dining. The menu was limited to a few salads, sandwiches and wraps and a soup of the day. Everyone said their food was very good. Great place for a light... More

After a Fossil Rim tour, I stopped in at the Storiebook Café for lunch based on other TripAdvisor reviews. Did not have to wait for a table on a Saturday about 12:30p. Wait staff was friendly. I had a roast beef and cheddar sandwich toasted which was satisfying. Price was reasonable. Good lunch spot when you have an opportunity to... More

My friend and I stopped on our way through Glen Rose and were really glad we did. Cafe was crowded but service was quick. My friend had a roast beef and cheddar sandwich and said it was excellent. My half sandwich on sour dough was outstanding and it was paired with some chicken and dumpling soup which was very good.... More

I don't understand the positive reviews this place gets. We went there twice while visiting Fossil Rim Wildlife Center. The first day they were closed at noon even though this was within the posted hours. The next day they were open. The food was good and the service was terrible. There were at least 6 employees and 6 - 8... More

Good cafe food complete with child menu. Fun atmosphere and the best feature was the play area in the back that kept our party's four toddlers entertained while we waited for the food. They even played music and gave anyone who did the "Twist" 10% off their meal :)

I enjoyed having lunch here! Lively music playing, what a creative mind the owner had! Wish I had a Storiebook Cafe in MY neighborhood! We really enjoyed it. It was a bookstore, too! I LOVED IT!!!

I read about Storiebook on Trip Advisor. How could a former instructor of Children's Literature pass this up? Storie greeted us and told us about the cafe. She also warned us about the uneven floors, the result of this space once having been a flooring store. Flooring samples still make up the floor. This is a whimsical space, full of... More
