Quirky and deliscious

Nice spot for a slow lunch. I loved the thoughtful and healthy kids menu. Great sandwich and salad combo. We would come back the next time we're in town.

Cute book shop and cafe...both my husband and I quickly settled on their cup of soup and half a sandwich because we wanted something a little lighter for a change...we really enjoyed the tortilla soup and half avocado/bacon/provolone sandwiches...just right portions and friendly folk...so glad we got off the beaten path to stop here

Homemade chicken and dumpling soup, sweet tea in real mason jars and sandwiches on fresh bread made a lovely meal. The atmosphere was a cleaver arrangement of books and whimsy.

This is a lunch only cafe in a remodeled gas station close to the downtown square. The owner told us it started as a bookstore that evolved into a lunch cafe. It is still a bookstore with wonderful, whimsy decorations that give the place a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. I have tried the chicken salad sandwich, grilled cheese with bacon sandwich... More

Even though Glen Rose is a short drive away for me, we hardly ever dine in this city. My husband and I were volunteering near by at Fossil Rim, and decided to eat there with another family member. We each ordered something different, and everyone really enjoyed the food. The restaurant is an old gas station, with two of the... More

Staff was friendly and attentive. Gave me good information about a local attraction I was interested in. The lunch sandwiches were excellent. My wife and I will be back the next time we are in Glen Rose.

Recently I had lunch at Storiebook Café with my uncle Hugh, and my son, Trajan. A very congenial setting, in predominantly a large single room with a children's activities area off to one side. Service was great, and our soup and sandwiches were very good, and particularly welcome on somewhat cold day. My son left his camera there, and when... More

We were a party of 11 and when I called they could not accommodate us all at one table, so we ate at 2. This is a tearoom type of dining. The menu was limited to a few salads, sandwiches and wraps and a soup of the day. Everyone said their food was very good. Great place for a light... More
