I read about Storiebook on Trip Advisor. How could a former instructor of Children's Literature pass this up? Storie greeted us and told us about the cafe. She also warned us about the uneven floors, the result of this space once having been a flooring store. Flooring samples still make up the floor. This is a whimsical space, full of... More

This place is great for lunch in Glen Rose. This place is definitely one of a kind. The decor is really interesting and awesome. The people who work here are really nice. The place is called Storie book cafe, because the owner's name is Storie, not because they can't spell or anything like that. The food tastes great. I had... More

The decor of this place is very unique to say the least food was good price was reasonable service was a little slow and bathroom got flooded while we there and was a little surprised that it wasn't more of a priority to the staff they acted like they couldn't do anything about until the boss told them what to... Food was average at best. Soup was horrible. They were out of a lot of things on their menu. So slow. We helped ourselves to seat ourselves, grabbed our own menus, waited to pay and when we asked of we could pay the waitress said "wait up there until we get time to help you". HORRIBLE all around. Can't believe... More

Great place to stop for a relaxing lunch. Sit indoors or out (if weather allows). Two different dining rooms. Whimsically decorated with tons of tea pots. There is a playroom to occupy small ones while you wait for your food. There are plenty of sandwich and wrap options. I had half a turkey club and the tomato basil soup. The... More

Who ever heard of a restaurant/bookstore? Well, the Storiebook Cafe is just that. The food is homemade, fresh, and ever so tasty. And the atmosphere is perfect for a leisurely lunch with friends. Browsing books while one waits for her food makes the time pass too quickly. My friends tried the ABC Sandwich, and both of them raved about it.... More

This place is kind of fun! It is a bookstore, that happens to serve really good food. Sandwiches, soup, salad, hamburgers. They have a soup and sandwich of the day. I had a chicken and dumpling soup that was really good along with a roast beef, cheddar, bacon sandwich on a pretzel bun that was great. They were really busy,... More

Great place! Soups, sandwiches and a play room. The walls of books are the icing on the cake. A must see while in Glen Rose!
